I don't know a word of Spanish but your face expressions told me everything, so cool! 😂 Sorry for using English but really wanted to leave a comment Thank you for taking your time to watch it twice. This song truly deserves it! And that exact performance is my favorite as well. So emotional I don't know if that will be useful to you and maybe you already know something about them but here is some info about that song so maybe you'll be interested in my boring thoughts 😂 So. there are a lot of discussions about the lyrics and the message but I will try to give you my perspective. I believe that Kyo (the vocalist who writes all the lyrics for the band) chose the word "Vinushka" from Russian "Винушка" which is basically a "Guilt" in diminutive form. As a native speaker I can tell you that we don't use it anymore and it sounds quite strange to the ear. I would typically see it in very old folk songs for example. The whole MV (highly recommend you to check out an uncensored version although it's a really heartbreaking one) is focused on the theme of war and what it looks and feels like. They used the real footage of victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings both for MV and for the screen at the concert. In fact, WWII is a great example that they present to us and that correlated with the poetry. However, the meaning of the song is for sure broader and deeper. The main themes of their lyrics are human emotions and all sorts of pain that one can go through. For me Vinushka is a discussion about what or who can be called evil and is it evil in reality. Why do we think that something is right or wrong? How do we define it? What dogmas should we follow or should we not? What is the truth and where it lyes? Appearances can be deceptive so what if we are all wrong and it is all vice versa? Can it be a justification for our actions? What will be left afterwards? It is quite interesting because you'll hear two strong and aggressive parts and the aftermath like after the bombings. Somewhere in the comments I once saw another interpretation that is quite interesting. It was said that maybe that is a song from the perspective of a person that is sentenced to death. Everyone can find it's own meaning in Kyo's poetry and that a sign of a true art for me If you are interested in the vocalist, he is self-trained and he never took any lessons in his life until one moment when he got serious vocal issues. But for a decade or even more he basically sang like he felt was right and he always pours his heart and soul into the performance. That is why it's better to watch live versions. That gives a full experience I really hope that you'll continue your journey with them! One of the best to follow along will be Diabolos (ua-cam.com/video/DggLg2kl9RY/v-deo.html) Also, Kyo has a side project that I highly recommend you to check out. The band is called Sukekiyo and all musicians are different except for the vocalist. They play in different genres but they are always very experimental. Look at this as at an another outstanding band from Japan. No por algo es de las mas solidas de su pais, aparte desde que empezaron los integrantes se mantienen, cosa que hace que funcionen a la pefeccion por la conexion que se tienen. El gutural del bajista al empezar la parte caótica pasa muy desaparecido, pero le agrega lo necesario a las maravillas que hace Kyo con su voz. Cada vez que escucho está canción encuentro cosillas así que me hacen admirarla aún más. I need to learn Spanish to understand you guys! This was such a great reaction - just watching your expressions and bodies go with the music - I am glad I decided to watch it :) And seeing you playing it twice in a row was the best! Algo que tienen y no es muy común, es que shynia a llegado a escribir algunas canciones de la banda, digo que no es común porque es el baterista y por lo general kyo el vocalista es quien escribe las canciones

I don't know if that will be useful to you and maybe you already know something about them but here is some info about that song so maybe you'll be interested in my boring thoughts 😂
So. there are a lot of discussions about the lyrics and the message but I will try to give you my perspective. I believe that Kyo (the vocalist who writes all the lyrics for the band) chose the word "Vinushka" from Russian "Винушка" which is basically a "Guilt" in diminutive form. As a native speaker I can tell you that we don't use it anymore and it sounds quite strange to the ear. I would typically see it in very old folk songs for example. The whole MV (highly recommend you to check out an uncensored version although it's a really heartbreaking one) is focused on the theme of war and what it looks and feels like. They used the real footage of victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings both for MV and for the screen at the concert. In fact, WWII is a great example that they present to us and that correlated with the poetry. However, the meaning of the song is for sure broader and deeper. The main themes of their lyrics are human emotions and all sorts of pain that one can go through. For me Vinushka is a discussion about what or who can be called evil and is it evil in reality. Why do we think that something is right or wrong? How do we define it? What dogmas should we follow or should we not? What is the truth and where it lyes? Appearances can be deceptive so what if we are all wrong and it is all vice versa? Can it be a justification for our actions? What will be left afterwards? It is quite interesting because you'll hear two strong and aggressive parts and the aftermath like after the bombings. Somewhere in the comments I once saw another interpretation that is quite interesting. It was said that maybe that is a song from the perspective of a person that is sentenced to death. Everyone can find it's own meaning in Kyo's poetry and that a sign of a true art for me
If you are interested in the vocalist, he is self-trained and he never took any lessons in his life until one moment when he got serious vocal issues. But for a decade or even more he basically sang like he felt was right and he always pours his heart and soul into the performance. That is why it's better to watch live versions. That gives a full experience

Also, Kyo has a side project that I highly recommend you to check out. The band is called Sukekiyo and all musicians are different except for the vocalist. @@1noobymedio Una vez que entra Dir en grey a tu vida es dificil que salga, aparte que es una banda que a lo largo de los años ha sabido innovarse y ofrecer una propuesta siempre fresca (dentro del genero al que ellos pertenecen). No por algo es de las mas solidas de su pais, aparte desde que empezaron los integrantes se mantienen, cosa que hace que funcionen a la pefeccion por la conexion que se tienen.

El gutural del bajista al empezar la parte caótica pasa muy desaparecido, pero le agrega lo necesario a las maravillas que hace Kyo con su voz. Cada vez que escucho está canción encuentro cosillas así que me hacen admirarla aún más. Podrían, si es que ya no lo han hecho, reaccionar a la otra banda del vocalista, se llama Sukekiyo, en particular recomiendo Madara Ningen, pero todas son muy buenas. Saludos desde Chile!

I hope you will react to more Dir en grey, I see you've done one more so far. There are so many songs I would recommend! Diabolos, Behind a Vacant Image, Vanitas, Macabre, Lotus, 24 Cylinders, The Final, Hageshisa to... Too many. Seeing them live and and listening to the recordings are two completely different things, both amazing in their own way. I would love it, once you've heard some more songs, if you made a duo reaction to The Final live, and The Final (acoustic). I promise it will blow your mind.

El significado de la cancion es tan trizte y fuerte. Es una de mis canciones de ellos favorito con Macabre. Esa tambien se las recomiendo. La otra de ellos cuando empesaron seria Zan.

La primera vez que vi el video de estudio, que por cierto es más creapy en imágenes ( es más hay una versión sensurada jajaja) no pude evitar que se me caigan las lagrimas, la angustia y la ira aunque no sepas lo que dice se siente igual. Después al buscar la letra uffff se me reventó el cerebro, es una de las pocas canciones que no puedo escuchar con alguien al lado, las lagrimas salen solas siempre jajajaja
