Thank you for the video. That’s a lot of work! The clogged EGR valve will throw a p402 and/or p401 code. I cleaned the EGR valve along with the sensor and the intake manifold to clear the codes.

Im about to get started on the same job in a 01 camry v6. Came to see what you did about that rear exhaust manifold. I couldnt dream of a way to get at those bolts. Glad to see it slides out

I'm starting identical job tomorrow! And my 99 solara has blown shocks as well.. well blown every kind of suspension on the car. Losing a job I hated cause my cars down but let the journey begin. I have to have wheels 100%!!

Well good luck and replace what you can while you’re in there. I’d replace the o rings on the sleeves for the spark plugs as eventually they leak oil and you’ll get white blue smoke out the pipe

@@str8burbn I plan on taking my time and doing everything I can. It never got hot. And I still have to verify it's a head gasket, but seems to be from initial look. After doing lots of other stuff so I say initial but more like last resort with fingers crossed. But I've had a misfire with no smoke and think it may have finally fully let go!

"..the whole DAM thing out" I don't think I could remember to get back to where I started when it's not working.

    Thanks for the video.
Saw my coolant reservoir full to the top yesterday. Smelled the coolant today.
I got the same ominous orange color on the engine oil dipstick and in the coolant reservoir.
Foreshadowing what I would have to go through.....
....dunno though...may just junk it...but $800.00 in brake a year ago and $1,600.00 exhaust four years ago.. .redid the whole front end sans control arms and half,-shafts. Timing belt and all pulley and tensioner and cam seals...Charcoal Canister last year too .....damn ...

      Thank you
I am going to use a flat straight edge, Adept Ape channel TouTube, to see if I need new heads or a new block, or both.
If I can get away with a $94.00 head gasket kit from Rock Auto, and their $110.00 radiator, coolant flush kit, distilled water, fresh coolant, two oils changes including filter, I will keep it.

Brotha! That was a great video! I’m amazed at how much you know, and how well you explain what you’re doing! Man, you are impressive! Keep up the good work! Can’t wait to take a spin in the new and improved silver bullet once you’re done with it. Love ya! Chris

Glad to come by this video to see how the back head was. Doesn't look too bad. I must say though, watching you do some of that was painful. Wondering how you got your timing right after putting on the belt cover and balancer. Plus after you Torque to 40 for the head bolts, you mark the bolt heads with a marker so you can tell exactly 90 degrees. Also I didn't see the lifters go in. Hope you got those in there before you put the cams on.

Didn't see you put in the 6mm bolts to lock the gears on the cams, will be noisy as F**K when you start it up without properly winding/setting those gears 🙄
