- I started the channel a little over a year ago and we've had some great handguns come across our table since then. I wanted to put together a compilation of what I believe are the best pistols I've shot over the year. There were a lot of accurate and fast handguns I've done reviews on and these are fastest handguns and most accurate pistols out of the lot we tested. You'll see from the list I enjoy mostly defensive or combat pistols versus competition or range guns. These may not be the best pistols in the world or best handguns released this year, but they are my favorite pistols I've review on the channel in the last 12 months.

I like the H&K VP9 but prefer the Walther PDP. I find the Staccato to be a "snub" gun. I like CZ handguns but prefer the P10 series. The S&W Shield plus is an excellent pistol. Try the Canik METE SFT and it will change your view about what a smooth trigger pull weight on a striker-fired pistol is all about.
I always wondered what Boomhauer would sound like if he was understandable.
If you haven’t shot one yet, you MUST shoot the Langdon Tactical Beretta PX4 Storm compact carry. Most amazing gun I’ve ever shot. That includes the CZ P01.
I’d love to check it out. I have an LTT trigger job in my Beretta 92. I’ve always wanted to pick up a PX4. I’ve got a video on the LTT 92.

@@shootersresourcechannel642 Straight out of the box, my LTT PX4 compact carry comes with night sights, improved trigger, stealth decocker levers. DA pulls at about 7.25 lbs and SA is at 3.75 lbs. incredible gun. I’m thinking about buying another one!

Hey Stephen, It’s also a great pistol. I just prefer defensive pistols versus competition handguns. Personal preference, the shadow target 2 can out shoot most of the guns on this list for sure.

Great information. I was surprised by the VP9, since everyone seems to be picking the PDP over it. I’m on the fence between the PDP and HK…
I personally have a VP9 and have seen a lot of reviews on the PDP. Everyone was hyped when it first came out but know you are seeing a lot of people not liking it due to it being more snappier than your regular 9mm and other things as well. A lot of people are also returning or trading them back in.
i love my vp9. its still talked about after being released in 2015 and the pdp has kind of faded to black.

Go with the HK. HK has higher quality springs.

How would you compare the recoil/handling of the Shield PC 4inch compared to the p365xl?
The shield is easier to control for me, hands down. The controls are easier to get to on the Shield for me as well.
The p365 is a smaller gun all around and I’ve been able to pocket carry it whereas the shield plus is too big. So there are pros and cons to both.
Great selection. Not big on the M&P. I bought a M&P shield EZ for my gf to shoot. We both ended up not liking it. Went and traded it with another gun for a Glock 19.
I haven’t even shot the EZ, I do like the Shield Plus though.
@Papa Bleach Yeah they are different for sure. I just think that experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I should probably give it another go, test out the shield plus. I'm more of a sig 365 guy.

Great vid! Ive just bought a Sig P365 and it’s really an amazing gun too! My number one EDC for sure. Why? Light weight, large mag capacity, small size, great sights, and very accurate. It’s actually a pocket gun. I really don’t want to EDC bigger pistols.
The Sig p365 is a great gun.
