I loved watching this video. For the last 19 years, I have operated my quad axle (18 ton legal weight) dump truck and I get loaded 95% of the time with big excavators with dirt but I have never operated an excavator, ever. I'm seeing it now from the excavator operators viewpoint. Pretty cool. I own 34 acres in central West Virginia and I need to build a logging/UTV road up to the top of the mountain. The hill is very steep. But I have plenty of land to include as many switchbacks as needed. I would love to see a video series of "How to operate a mini excavator", including cutting in a log road on a steep slope. :) That would be something that many people would love to watch and just talk about everything. I would love to cut in my own road with my own mini excavator by watching your tutorial. I can operate about anything but have never run a mini exc. Love the video, thanks :)
Nice project so far. Off topic..Where I live planners would kill this project quickly. We're in a rural township but planners only want 1000 SF+ stick-builts on foundations, they lack vision IMO. OTH I'm no fan of the so called Tiny House fad, only because there's already well established industries that could potentially build very small dwellings better, and often cheaper than DIY (manufactured home &/RV industry). However I do appreciate the effort and individuality expressed in DIY Tiny Houses. I'd be very interested in a video of the completed project, maybe even a walk-through of the home with the owner. In fact I'd like to see videos of some of your other projects after customers have completed their DIY projects. Just a thought:)
