'I literally have no imagination' thanks for saying that, because I'm exactly like that too. I thought I was quite alone in that corner 😂 thanks for your list. I also love my Polychromos and my Ikon sharpener. I'll try the Bristol you showed 😊
I had to watch this again . it make me smile . I am still learning to draw and color in ..... we moved house 2 months ago and all my things are still in boxes . on26th June I will be getting a craft area to make stuff ...Thank you so much and Happy Art xxxx
Hi Gemma, thank you so much for this video. I am new to drawing/colouring, and really appreciate a smaller outlay than what my brain is telling me I need to spend to set up.
Question--I'm a beginner to colored pencil. I hear that you need a toothed paper in order to build layers, how does Bristol Board work since it's smooth. Thank you for your help.
Hi Gemma - fantastic videos with some great hints and tips! Quick question for you - I use polychromos and I LOVE them - however I find the metallics a bit disappointing both in usage and choice of colours (3 as far as I know!) - any tips for using them and also any tips for good metallic oil based pencils?
I love art, been drawing all my life, but now trying to perfect everything. I'm certainly not as good as I want to be🙄. I have gone from paints and not good with pastels. Have decided to put my time and money into colored pencils. Now that I'm retired, I have no excuse. can you give more tips on blending and do you sell dvd instruction?
We all have room for improvement! I hope you enjoy the hobby 😀 Take a look through the other videos on my channel, I've made lots of videos about layering and blending.

Very valuable tips. Thank you. Do you print out your reference photos or do you draw directly from your pad?
I'm iPad all the way for reference photos - I love being able to zoom in to the section I'm working on to see all the detail
