@@nahor88 He is saying "fifty-fifty" because that term is a "Western-term". There is no phrase in Japanese for "fifty-fifty", so they use Katakana for it. This is how the Japanese language works. All foreign phrases or words are said in Katakana.

The things I once imagined would be his greatest achievements were only the first steps toward a future I can only begin to fathom.
Context: for anyone wondering why a lot of the terms in Japanese you can understand or "sounds like English" is because Japanese uses Katakana for all their foreign words. If the words have a "foreign origin" (words that aren't relatively native to Japanese or have a Chinese origin), they will be said in Katakana. For example, words like "fifty-fifty", is a set phrase that exist only in baseball, which is a foreign sport. Saying it in Katakana will allow Japanese people to know its a foreign baseball term. The Japanese language keeps it that way to "difference the meaning" from saying "fifty-fifty" in Hiragana, which would mean a different thing.
