I wish my doctor would take the time to go over the MRI with me. They seem to only have 10 mins to spend with me.

My understanding of my MRI images has just moved to a new level. Thank you, I can now ask more clarifying questions of my specialist. 🤔 😊

I am getting ready to have a diagnostic MRI, this was so helpful to ease the anxiety of the test and to understand the results!

Right? I’m frustrated and fed up getting to this point too because the Dr apathy to dealing with the symptoms has been just rushed along when I get treated and come back in a week and maybe have mild relief and then no follow up and then making appts a month later like a revolving door. I’m hoping I get a good neurologist who will help get me diagnosed and then maybe a good treating physician?

Awesome video. Thank you so much for this information. I actually understood the words you were saying but no one has explained to me what they mean exactly. For the first time since being diagnosed with MS I have a understanding what's happening inside my brain. And my Symptoms are real. Thank you so much

I am currently getting testing done for MS and the way I took some control back while I wait is lifestyle, diet and supplementation adjustments. Im not a professional I just google searched and read nutritional healing books. They discuss the importance of healthy organic oils like fish or cod liver oil, flax seed oil, evening primrose oil, black currant seed oil, a high quality multivitamin etc. I found pure encapsulations one a day which has most if not all the other things which are recommended. 🥗🕊

MS Agent here lol So after being an active, intelligent, social hott chic who began to isolate & feel like some days I would just fall off the planet, I have recommendations if you're interested. I had to take my power back after being disappointed by doctors & side eyed by specialists lol

Is open or closed MRI clearer for MS? I scheduled for open because i thought maybe i would feel more relaxed. However, then i thought closed = closer, so i rescheduled for closed because i want a better image and most accurate. If open MRIs sacrifice imaging clarity then i want to do a closed one, so I figured i would ask you since my scheduler couldn’t answer and didn’t direct me to who could 🙁

My multiple sclerosis diagnosis came after a closed MRI brain scan. It is said closed MRI units offer more clarity than the open units. However it is also said that the open MRIs are ideal for brain scans.
Having taken the closed MRI I can tell you (for me) it didn’t feel so bad being in the tube because there was a mirror that I could look out. What I would say is make sure you put your earplugs in really good because the machine is very loud.
During my first MRI examination my neurologist ordered one scan without the injection, and one scan with the injection to color the image or whatever it does.
My follow up MRI brain scans over the years have not needed the injection. So I suppose in my case I didn’t need that, but your doctor can tell you better than anyone can tell you in a comment on YT.
It doesn’t take that long and it doesn’t hurt as long as your earplugs are in. So I would suggest whichever you decide that you do get your MRI brain scan.
Good luck to you, and good health to you.

I can’t seem to find a neurologist. There’s a shortage of them here. I need an MRI. Now. I got optical neuritis. Pain in my left eye was unbearable- ended up in ER for a steroid shot. I had blurry vision for about 12 hours. Thankfully my eyesight is back. I don’t know what is coming next. I need a diagnosis. Why is it so hard to get an MRI?
