Hello buddy, I have a bullet caliber measurement tool and I would like to ask you to shoot a video of the Influencer Alliance. I was wondering if you are interested❤
All these new calibers is like hanging a Trans sign on a bathroom doors. 30-06 does this. Not as good bcs but 7 mag all day and step it up to 300Wby or 270 wsm
No No No the 6.8 is no good . If it doesn’t say prc on the head stamp it is No good ! From now on you can only hunt with a cartridge that is piss Rc or crapmore on the headstamp !
@thomasdaum1927 Well, I like PRC and creedmoor. In F-class, you don't buy a new rifle to change calibres. You simply buy a new barrel and get it chambered in whatever you want. 300 PRC is great, but it has too much recoil for F-open as brakes aren't allowed. 7mm PRC, I just don't see the benefit of it over cases like 284w, 7mm WSM and 7mm SAUM. 6.5 CM, 6.5 projectiles don't seem, well target projectiles don't seem to have enough weight to get BC up where I want so they struggle out at 1000y. If you could get 150gr or 160gr 6.5mm projectiles then a 6.5 CM might be worth trying.
@@shanerorko8076 First of all I was being sarcastic about the new cartridges that are really not needed by 90% of hunters . They do have a purpose in target competition but are being sold as hunting cartridges ! Secondly there are 150 to 160 gr 6.5 mm projectile’s out there . Why would the average deer hunter choose a 6.5 cread over a 270 Win unless he just wants to buy a new rifle ?……
@thomasdaum1927 I have no idea, I shoot targets. I know some people that hunt, they use bows though. You can't get 160grn 6.5mm in target form with the boat tail, as far as I know.
I really don’t get the constantly changing powder and bullets every week trying to push a rifle harder and harder hanging your feet over the ledge on pressure burning up valuable barrel life for nothing more than crono numbers. Why not just work up a safe reasonable load that is accurate in hot or cold weather and leave it at that move on to the next rifle and do the same with it and so on and so on! I’m sure people would rather see videos of safe accurate loads than loads they have to be afraid of trying in their rifles!!
Exactly. I said one time on this channel that my 6.5 PRC is shooting factory 130s in the 3100s and the 6.5 PRC is already hot. My point being box ammo is good enough and very accurate. Reloading magnum weatherby told me that it wasn't hot. We have to buy all the reloading equipment and spend all the time to work up max charge loads and then we can say, my 6.5 PRC shoots my handloads in the 3200s and then we will be good to go.
@@Manbunmen65 Handloaders have always had a bad wrap as loading unsafe ammo!! I’m sure everyone over time at one point or another that shoots had heard the old don’t ever shoot someone’s handloads they will blow your gun apart!! That comes from guys not really understanding pressure differences in case volumes between brands differences in lot numbers and bearing surface of bullets sure u can use the load data from a Berger 140 to load a nosler 140 but you better plan on pressuring out faster with that nosler than the Berger because of the longer bearing surface of the nosler bullet!! Most people who reload ammo have the mindset that the whole reason you reload is to get higher velocity’s than factory rounds well maybe 20 years ago that might have been the case!! Today you buy a modern design cartridge 6.5 creed 6.5 prc 300-7mm prc 6.8 western they have designed the chambers and brass with such tight tolerances they can pretty much get just as fast out the box as you can with reloads maybe not always but there won’t be a huge difference like in the old design cartridges it’s just facts and the way they are designing these new cartridges that’s the sex appeal with them! Can you push one of these rounds hard and into hunger velocity for sure you can but is that load really going to be a load you can depend on every time you pull out that rifle absolutely not your going to have pressure issues when it’s hot out even with temp stable powders and temp stable does not mean that there is no change what so ever with the temp changes from day to day it just means they don’t change near as much or swing as far on the extream ends of what you may use them in!! I like some of his videos and I don’t like some of his videos!! I don’t like videos that are nothing more then this is faster than this and one shot from each over a magneto speed and he has a 30-06 shooting 300 win speeds and then he shows the load on the side of the case in sharpie!! This is where some idiot takes that load puts it in a different case brand uses a different bullet same weight and loads that charge thinking he can get that velocity to and bam now someone just blew apart there savage axis 30-06 because you know most the people watch this channel are pure beginners that’s why the speeds turn them on they don’t know any better and want to see those big numbers!! He can make a quality video he’s not a dumb guy he talks well but he has taken a path with this channel that caters to a group of people that no one else of UA-cam caters to because they have grown past the oh I’m a reloader and velocity is all that matters stage!! Everyone that reloads goes though this stage when they first start out fast as I can make it go and after time we all find there is no consistent accuracy there and back down and when we do that we find we can get all our rifles to shoot real small all the time!! If factory rounds is what you like and are happy with then shoot factory rounds because 3100 is pretty good for that 6.5 prc could u get more maybe maybe not maybe your barrel isn’t a barrel that’s wants to take a lot of powder and it might not shoot any better then it does right now at higher velocity’s!!

He fire formed from 7 SAUM. It's ADG brass
@@ReloadingWeatherby heck yea thought a wsm case would be better for that no?
Nevermind did a little research thanks for showing that part didn’t realize the 6.8 was that case size!
What brass do you use for your reloads on the 6.8 ?
ADG
@@ReloadingWeatherbyDid I see where the 6.8W brass was fired formed from 7 SAUM
@@texpatriot8462it’s once fired gunwerks 7 saum brass fire formed.
Once fired gunwerks 7 saum brass that is trimmed and fire formed to 6.8 western
ADG brass is more available in the 6.8 Western for purchase. I just ordered mine and it’s on its way.
I'll stick with my 270 weatherby
What’s the hype about? Every good loaded 7 REM Mag does the same!
6.5 PRC won't hit 3k fps with a 143g bullet. 🤔 I just got some 175g Sierra TGK's in the mail for my 6.8.
My dad's 6.5 PRC with a max load gets 2980 FPS
@@ReloadingWeatherby how does it do with factory ammo? With Precision Hunter, I am in the low/mid 2800s.
@texpatriot8462 In my 24 inch Bergara I'm at mid 2900s which is box velocity. Your gun probably sucks.

That's not even close to the 6.5 300wsm I played with years ago
Ok.
Wow get angry about other rounds.
@@shanerorko8076 It’s all about selling new rifles ! I was being sarcastic , I thought you would pick up on that !…….
@@terrycalvert7812Thanks for the long and thoughtful reply. Yeah I got turned off on reloading weatherby magnum because of all the same things you cited. You know it's a funny thing...so I came across a video from the man himself Roy Weatherby from the 1960s. It was a news story and he touted the 300 Weatherby magnum and he was going to put on a demonstration to it's power. Accuracy was never even spoken of. In fact he said, you can hit any animal anywhere in the body and it will be instantly incapacitated.
