@@GeoffCastellucci , I'm a new subscriber just now! Loved this wonderfully hilarious cover of Monster Mash, which I enjoyed so much in my 1960's childhood! And it popped into my mind that I bet you could do an equally wonderful comedy routine singing "The Ballad of Jed Clampett" from the old Beverly Hillbillies show! I remember the singers of that theme song got pretty low as well. Thanks, your voice and range are unbelievable!
This is THE coolest thing I’ve seen (& heard) in ages!! No wonder it’s got nearly 3 million views. And I love The Monster Mash anyway. I could totally see this being one of the most requested videos on MTV back when it was all music videos. Ranks right up there with “Thriller.” I think this is my new pick-me-up-when-I’m-bummed video.
I never noticed until just now that Igor-Geoff was doing the Floss dance at the end. It's the little bits of characterization like that which really make these videos worth rewatching.
I like Riders on the storm, but not sure how well that would fit with Geoff. It's a 7 minute Long song, with 2 instrumentals at the beginning and end, while the whole middle of the song is 1 long instrumental. Cheers
Tough to remake such a classic but you did a phenomenal performance. I'm 74 and was hesitant to click on the video; I was quite sure I wasn't gonna like it. Loved it! While I won't give up Bobby's version, I'll play this too. Great stuff.
I think my favorite thing of this is that this is the first time ive ever seen someone actually make a dance out of the monster mash! The first part being the monster (Frankenstein) The second being the Wolf man The third being Dracula And the forth being the Mummy! Now we can all do the Monster Mash!
I remember saying to my husband last year after Headless Horseman came out "Oh, I hope maybe he'll do Monster Mash next year" and Wow, did you ever do it right! I've watched this video so many times, especially this week since my Dad was put on hospice on Monday and this wonderful video has been one of the few things guaranteed to put a genuine smile on my face. I love it all but my favorite part is the look on mad scientist Geoff's face in the Dracula scene. Absolutely priceless! Also love those dance moves but you'd best be careful or Layne will be wanting crazy dance moves along with the vocal gymnastics for his next VP video! My heartfelt thanks to you, Kathy & your entire crew for all the time, effort and hard work that went into making this gem.
I'll let everyone else talk about how awesome the song was, but the video was really fascinating. The monsters looked like they were stop animation, that was real dope. Awesome production, arrangement, make up, effects. The dance you had with your wife was wholesome.
I know, right? It's just jerky enough that it almost looks like it animated or edited in post, but it's just smooth enough to possibly be done irl during the filming... Trippy as heck to watch as a film/animation student. Also, is it just me, or are those last few musical bars the opening to "Fur Elise"?
@@PhoenyxRysing It isn't just you, it is indeed Fur Elise, and the ''la la la'' is Bach's toccata and fugue ''in d minor, just shuffled and swung'' according to Geoff.
The quirky, jerky effect is achieved by filming at slightly slower than normal speed, then playing sped up to regular tempo. It can be done subtly (as it is here) or more obvious, depending on how much slower you record. It's a really cool effect, that is used in music videos from time to time in different contexts. VoicePlay (Geoff's group) used it for sure in "Grim Grinning Ghosts." Broken Peach used it in their "Tainted Love" video. Weird Al used it in "White and Nerdy." There are many other examples...
You are so clever and talented! I am amazed at your ingenuity and imagination, as well as such high standards of music recording in making a truly entertaining song. Thank you!
You are my 7-year-old's favorite singer in the world. She gets so excited about every new video you do! As a dad, one of the best things for me is that you make scary stuff funny for her. She's sensitive to "the scary parts" of movies, but she loves your Halloween stuff. You do such good work, and we're big fans! (It cracks me up when she tries to sing as low as you and then brags about it!)
@@loren5051 don't worry honey, I have already heard it. I'm Geoff's (and also Voiceplay, of course) fan for almost a year. I love his voice in every song!!!

Okay, I have to admit I have watched this I think almost 10 times or more.. I watched each of the Geoffs and even watched Kathy. Each one of the Geoffs had their own personality and little quirks. Like the Wolfman Geoff (the middle one) with the cute scratching of the "fur" and the coy smile when he began to move to the music with hips... The Monster Geoff had a few of his own quirks, one being how his wave was when the two danced away. The Dracula Geoff had a cute gesture and even when he spoke of "What ever happened to.." had a look on his face of confusion. As for the narrator, Geoff, just as Angie said below just had expressions and a personalty that tied it all together. As for Kathy twitching, that was a great thing. And I loved when she screamed bringing the "Bride" to life. It was a great touch. I LOVED the Bach toccata and fugue because when I first watched it and it got to the "La la la" section, I was like wait; I know this! And for Für Elise to be a great riff of ragtime style was awesome. Watching you in your videos is like a treasure trove of just fun and great music. I know I will watch this again and find something else that amazes me.
I really *really* enjoyed the choreography. The way it evolves during the song. I ask you to rewatch paying attention to this detail. The stages: 1- 0:39, 2- 1:08, 3- 2:08 (different lyrics), 4- 2:35 (same dance as before) "he did the mash uhhh" - raised hands -> rotating hands -> raised feet "the monster mash uh-hu" - A little bent for the side -> little twitch -> claws, bent "He did the hmmm-mash" - waiter-like position -> up-down -> side, down, up "The monster uuuuh" - selfhug -> foward-backward -> rotating I also like the stopmotion-like dancing style. Maybe some video effect was used but it was a chef's kiss effect. (for some reason the white sleeved dancing Geoff is my favorite) Really good song video, congrats Geoff
My cat loves Geoff.. he was somewhere in the house but as soon as he heard the rich velvety under tones of Geoff he was glued to the phone rubbing and purring up a storm.
I've got a mustang like that. It's why I originally joined his Patreon 😂. When he's being a wild butt and won't let me near him I just play something of Geoff's and he gets distracted listening to it and calms down.
Geoff said: it turned out okay Are you kidding me??? This is spooktacular! And Kathy, how did you manage to lay there so still in this awkward position? You two have made my heart smile and you are an incredibly talented and gorgeous couple. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊 💞💝
With Hoist the Colours Geoff said "I guess I'm a pirate now"! I commented "with a voice that could sink ships or raise the dead". I think you just proved my point with this video. Haha! This was a fantastic cover, amazing vocals and arrangement, awesome make up and costumes (well done Kathy) lovely dancing and just so damn fun! Thank you Geoff for another amazing video.
This video has to be watched at least 8 times. First just to watch through it, four more times to follow the song and dance of each Geoff separately, then one more time to look for Kathy twitching (because I didn't even see her the first time). And then watch it again to enjoy and appreciate the harmonies. Then it is time for the watch-and-sing-along.. (and then just one more and one more and one more - I don't care that Halloween is over and we're getting closer to Christmas - and one more and one more and one more..) AWESOME JOB!
Found myself yet again running to my computer to put on a headset and listen to Geoff while I clawed my way out of an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness due to many reasons. As usual, Geoff's music was extremely helpful and by the time I got to this video, I was happily singing along. So enjoy listening to this music at any time, but it sure helps to get oneself out of a funk.
Honestly I am not sure what impresses me most. Geoff's voice, the dance itself, or the fact the Geoff had to do it all CORRECTLY 4 times to put it all together. It had to be seriously draining and came out so beautifully. Also Monster Geoff (Igor?) flossing at the end made me laugh.
he actually had to do it all over again from scratch the next day, as something went wrong with the recording process. lot of work, but it turned out great!
I didn't notice that until I had watched it many many times and I just died once I saw it. Reminds me of Geoff flossing in the VoicePlay boy bands video!
Right around 3:10 when it pans back to the full group you can see Igor Geoff on the right doing a dance called the floss which most people know from fortnite
My favorite brothers Geoff, Jeff, Jeffery and Joseph back at it again with an amazing cover! Of course Joseph, not only had to have a different name, but also trying to show off by singing deeper than everyone else and even had to get the girl in the end. The family drama is real, smh.

I get more blown away with each song u arrange, SOOOO cannot wait to see what u come up with next. I would love to see u do an arrangement for King of the road, I think it would be fantastic
Loved everything about this and his other videos. The small details he adds to each character is great. Love when Wolfman Geoff scratches the fleas, Dracula Geoff floss his teeth. The fact that eachbif the the 3 back up singer Geoffs do different dances. Wolfman Geoff looks like he's going to start to Mambo. When Geoff pauses in the line the zombies were having.........fun. Wonder what the pause meant? As if to ask whatever the zombies were doing could constitute fun. The cracking of the bones was a wonderful touch. Geoff, you sir have have taken a wonderful season classic to a whole new level, new and refreshing yet you put your on twist to it. Iblook forward to many more of your videos. I hope this comment finds you and your lovely wife safe and in good health as I do all that may read this comment.
I’ve given Geoff praise on his talent before and this time I will highlight something else. The production quality The timing of the dances in perfect step, the makeup and scenery, and the overall ambience and lighting is something of movie quality. Impressive work, and not unnoticed. It took serious skill to put this together so well. Props

When I first seen this video, I called my daughter to view it because she wanted a Halloween reception and wanted to pick a father daughter dance. She called me back and instantly loved it. The monster mash became our song. Thank you.
Can we just appreciate that the monsters on the right get progressively more active with their dancing? I love that little but effective detail the most. Another incredible video, Geoff! ^^👍
I find that each time I watch this that more and more details appear. There is so much attention to small but interesting details, look closely at each individual zombie and it is amazing. What a delightful experience. So very well done, thanks.
It's definitely your bass that drew me in, but the Oh Em Gee you've got 4 very distinct characters here, three with synchronized choreography (or at least as synchronized as they would be as monsters anyway). Not to mention what's been mentioned multiple times with you harmonizing with yourself. The skill!!
This is my favorite song/video of yours. It shows a lighter side of your personality. The dance moves and facial expressions are quirky and different from just you standing there singing. I had to watch it several times so I could focus on each version of you and I think the middle one in the white shirt is the best.
That was wonderful. Perfect re-imagining of an iconic song. Geoff looked amazing in all that period clothing, and Kathy looked lovely in her cameo. BRAVO!!
The eerie version of Fur Elise was the ICING on the CAKE ! This was absolutely magnificent. I couldn't stop smiling and my jaw dropping from how LOW you bases can go. Much respect from a singer who understands control is no easy thing ! Unreal !

Is it weird that it's two weeks after Halloween and I'm still listening to the Monster Mash? Maybe. Will I continue to come back to this video throughout the year? Probably. It's just too fun to be restricted to just a week or two in October.
I watched Geoff's video on hearing loss and they actually did some Beetlejuice theatrics many years ago so they're both experienced. Love it! Jealous of her though, who wouldn't want Geoff to offer her their hand and ask his darling to dance *fans self*
I just love your voice!!! My 15 year old son has watched your voice tutorials, and is training his voice to sing as low as possible. He already sings bass in choir at school.
You get the shorter lines and Geoff's voice is so "neutral" in accent. He gets to singing those longer lines and that Virginia accent comes out and takes the fun of the song up a notch. I love it. I sing low baritone/high bass myself but I'd love to get that low.
I watched this like a dozen times (cause it's an excellent cover) and I noticed the monster on the right side FLOSSING (3:10 on) until the wolfman catches him!!!! That's really funny and I love it

Ranks right up there with “Thriller.”
I think this is my new pick-me-up-when-I’m-bummed video.
I never noticed until just now that Igor-Geoff was doing the Floss dance at the end. It's the little bits of characterization like that which really make these videos worth rewatching.
0:10 Geoff's like "I'm just trying to read here man"
True
Okay we all love singing Geoff of course, but dancing Geoff might be my favorite
It was awesome. And quite adorable if i might say so myself
If you watch Voiceplay's version of Still Alive from the Portal game you get another dancing Geoff
Needs more Geoff. LOL
Here I am trying to imagine him singing Riders on the Storm from the Doors.
Would be amazing.
I like Riders on the storm, but not sure how well that would fit with Geoff. It's a 7 minute Long song, with 2 instrumentals at the beginning and end, while the whole middle of the song is 1 long instrumental. Cheers
I think it would be great! Honestly, I could listen to him sing anything😉
I'd like to see his take on "I was born under a Wandering Star" as sang by Lee Marvin.
@@stanfordcoffee He doesn't have to match the song exactly, I think if anyone can come up with a good arrangement Geoff could.
I think we would all die from collective awesome
Tough to remake such a classic but you did a phenomenal performance. I'm 74 and was hesitant to click on the video; I was quite sure I wasn't gonna like it. Loved it! While I won't give up Bobby's version, I'll play this too. Great stuff.
I think my favorite thing of this is that this is the first time ive ever seen someone actually make a dance out of the monster mash!
The first part being the monster (Frankenstein)
The second being the Wolf man
The third being Dracula
And the forth being the Mummy!
Kathy has the perfect Hammer horror film scream!!!
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad, and hope this video keeps him smiling. Take care.
I was convinced VoicePlay was going to do this for Halloween 🎃 just as glad it’s Geoff and possibly Geoff, Geoff and Geoff. It’s going to be fun
It’s a tradition at this point for them to do a TNBC song
I really like Geoff, more than his brothers Geoff, Geoff and Geoff. Geoff is the best of all four in my opinion
😂😂
Hello ... What is a TNBC song?
@@velkanzi The Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s a Disney movie by Tim Burton and it’s amazing
My grandfather was best friends with Bobby Pickett the creator of the song I can safely say he would love this remake
You are so clever and talented! I am amazed at your ingenuity and imagination, as well as such high standards of music recording in making a truly entertaining song. Thank you!
I want to hear Geoff sing ‘the sound of silence’. I believe with his voice he would execute that song perfectly
It'd certainly be something.
yes totally, but based off of the original how its sung by simon and garfunkel in the kind of airy sound instead of with a very powerfull voice
@@antjepost1850 Nah, he needs to do the dark/powerful version from Disturbed! Even Paul Simon said it is their song now.
Your wish has come true friend!!

That's adorable.
This is where Geoff outdoes himself.... AGAIN! I don't know how many times I've watched this! It's so so good!

Okay, now ladies, imagine that someone with such a voice would come to you and say: "Let's dance my darling. Shall we?" ✨heart attack✨
I think us guys with voices similar would be more willing to do this if the follow up was ballroom style dancing and not booty dancing LOL
Ladies? WTF? Why only the ladies? I'd dance! You gotta hear him do 16 tons! What a range!

I love to listen to his stuff in my car, it's a BOSE sound system.
I'm always so blown away at how people can alter songs in such amazing ways, and this song is no small testimony to that fact! I love it!🎶
The vocals were amazing! The choreography was amazing! The costumes were amazing! This was sooo enjoyable, definitely sets the right spirit for the spooky season!
hah!

Would have been much better if done by Voiceplay.
I absolutely love that the 3 monsters are at a lower framerate making their movements so eerie
I won $300 in a karaoke contest doing this song. Badass dude. Thanks for the work you put into this and your tireless effort in training.
The amount of skill needed to synch not only the voices of Geoff but also the Geoffs dancing together is phenomenal. Great video.
Loved it,also headless horseman & ghost riders ..I will keep watching.
I really *really* enjoyed the choreography. The way it evolves during the song. I ask you to rewatch paying attention to this detail.
The stages: 1- 0:39, 2- 1:08, 3- 2:08 (different lyrics), 4- 2:35 (same dance as before)
"he did the mash uhhh" - raised hands -> rotating hands -> raised feet
"the monster mash uh-hu" - A little bent for the side -> little twitch -> claws, bent
"He did the hmmm-mash" - waiter-like position -> up-down -> side, down, up
"The monster uuuuh" - selfhug -> foward-backward -> rotating
I also like the stopmotion-like dancing style. Maybe some video effect was used but it was a chef's kiss effect.
(for some reason the white sleeved dancing Geoff is my favorite)
Really good song video, congrats Geoff
This video should have AT LEAST, 25 million views.
this is th most gorgeous monster ive ever seen

Geoff, the geofftet, and Kathy, you're all great! Arrangement, narration, song, dance and scream... Lovely! This makes me laugh a lot! Thanks!
My cat loves Geoff.. he was somewhere in the house but as soon as he heard the rich velvety under tones of Geoff he was glued to the phone rubbing and purring up a storm.
I react the same
I've got a mustang like that. It's why I originally joined his Patreon 😂. When he's being a wild butt and won't let me near him I just play something of Geoff's and he gets distracted listening to it and calms down.

Are you kidding me??? This is spooktacular! And Kathy, how did you manage to lay there so still in this awkward position?
You two have made my heart smile and you are an incredibly talented and gorgeous couple.
Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊 💞💝
Geoff and the Geoffs are must see during this Halloween season. Great job.
There's no twitching. You are talking rubbish.
Geoff just did a major upgrade to an old classic.
Geoff Castellucci has such a beautiful voice. He has a gift that we all can enjoy & he is so good looking to boot. We are the lucky ones.😁💞
1:35 = i'm dead.
You're amazing Geoff. XO from Argentina
Не знаю сколько раз я это пересмотрел за 3 года, но один из лучших по тематике)))
Honestly I am not sure what impresses me most. Geoff's voice, the dance itself, or the fact the Geoff had to do it all CORRECTLY 4 times to put it all together. It had to be seriously draining and came out so beautifully. Also Monster Geoff (Igor?) flossing at the end made me laugh.
he actually had to do it all over again from scratch the next day, as something went wrong with the recording process. lot of work, but it turned out great!
also the monsters lip syncyng while sped up. its wonderful
I didn't notice that until I had watched it many many times and I just died once I saw it. Reminds me of Geoff flossing in the VoicePlay boy bands video!
Flossing? 😂😂😂😂😂 He does not floss that one is the wolf man in the middle others are Dracula and Igor!
Right around 3:10 when it pans back to the full group you can see Igor Geoff on the right doing a dance called the floss which most people know from fortnite
I love Geoff and Kathy dancing of at the end!!!🥰 She does so much work on all these videos I love that we got to see her!! You did amazing girl!
My favorite brothers Geoff, Jeff, Jeffery and Joseph back at it again with an amazing cover! Of course Joseph, not only had to have a different name, but also trying to show off by singing deeper than everyone else and even had to get the girl in the end. The family drama is real, smh.
Oh my goodness, there's just not enough hearts for my reaction to this song. I love that u added the dancing, this was spooktacular!!!! I had a huge smile and bopping along the entire time. Geoff u truly are a VERY gifted man when it comes to not only singing- but those arrangements!!!!Wow.

The timing of the dances in perfect step, the makeup and scenery, and the overall ambience and lighting is something of movie quality. Impressive work, and not unnoticed. It took serious skill to put this together so well. Props
Who else started doing the dance, so much fun? I love your playfulness and your range is crazy!!!!!!!
Geoff,
Thank you! My kids especially my 2 year old love this song. It can get her to stop a tantrum so fast to dance to it. We listen to this alot! Thank you for this fun song!
I love the way he sings at 2:11
It's definitely your bass that drew me in, but the Oh Em Gee you've got 4 very distinct characters here, three with synchronized choreography (or at least as synchronized as they would be as monsters anyway). Not to mention what's been mentioned multiple times with you harmonizing with yourself. The skill!!
i can listen and look at this a thousand time over!!!!!

BRAVO!!
I could listen to you sing all day every day. Can’t wait to show this to my son. He is 23. Fantastic video!! 🌟
The eerie version of Fur Elise was the ICING on the CAKE ! This was absolutely magnificent. I couldn't stop smiling and my jaw dropping from how LOW you bases can go. Much respect from a singer who understands control is no easy thing ! Unreal !

Geoff, this is honestly my favorite video you have done (so much fun!), and this has quickly become my favorite version of this song! 😁💗 Props to Kathy on the makeup, I never would have known if you hadn't told us!
And I *loved* Kathy's cameo, one of my favorite parts of the video 💕
Maybe not to compliment you are looking for, but I wanted to let you know that this is my toddler son's favorite video to watch and dance to. He ensures all his stuffies are also watching and having a good time.
So from two parents, we thank you! It really is a fun video.
I'd LOVE to be able to give Geoff a few Old Bat Hugs for his songs! My hearing sucks like a jet engine yet I can hear his deep voice so clearly! Simply awesome to me!
Is it weird that it's two weeks after Halloween and I'm still listening to the Monster Mash? Maybe. Will I continue to come back to this video throughout the year? Probably. It's just too fun to be restricted to just a week or two in October.
I would love to have a longer Dance of Geoff and Kathy. She just nailed the undead stare while dancing.
I watched Geoff's video on hearing loss and they actually did some Beetlejuice theatrics many years ago so they're both experienced. Love it! Jealous of her though, who wouldn't want Geoff to offer her their hand and ask his darling to dance *fans self*
I'm literally sobbing, the monster mash is (no lie) one of my favorite songs ever written. This was a perfect song choice for you to cover. THANK YOU!
Fantastic job all round but the harmonies are just sublime.
Yes! And Kathy is gorgeous! If you sing, girl, next time I want to see a duet!
Can anyone else be so scary and wholesome at the same time? Geoff really knows how to put a grin on e everyones face 😁
Wolf man Geoff was so ADORABLE!!! And my heart melted when cathy appeared and you two danced. It was so wholesome
I watched this like a dozen times (cause it's an excellent cover) and I noticed the monster on the right side FLOSSING (3:10 on) until the wolfman catches him!!!! That's really funny and I love it
