Stopped here on an 11-day road trip years ago. Hiked a little bit but put a pin in it to take the bike back one day if I’m ever down there again. I saw a handful of bikes during my hike and was very curious what the trails were like. Look pretty awesome!
I am 47 and STILL haven’t degraded myself to an electric mountainbike, and I never will. E mountainbiking has nothing to do with mountainbiking. Make an efford and invest in a good, light mtb and start doing it on your own strength.
Good for you buddy don’t get an EBike. Who asked your thoughts on Ebikes? They have there place just like full suspension, downhill, enduro, cross X, gravel, different tools.
i had no clue those trails where there. I stopped riding about 10 years back. just got a bike this week and can't wait. that's gonna be my new local.

nice ride! Trails looked pretty good! I can't wait till our snow is gone here in Canada!
Welcome down here in the Southeast anytime, we barely got any snow this year!
Chattanooga Tn, offers e-bike riders many options for recreational use. From bike riding downtown to hitting the mountains and everything in between.
Yes it does! And speaking my of the Noog, got a new episode you’ll want to check out today at 3pm Central. 😉
Sweet trails! Counting the days until we're able to ride our trails around here.
A lot is happening here in the Southeast! Makes for a good bike trip!! 😉
Fugget clockwise is rough uphill. Best ridden counter clockwise even with the long climb out. 😀
I was curious. It does seem the climb out would be harder the opposite way I went. 🤙🏼
@@midlifeshredder oh it is…I did it yesterday. The switchbacks are pretty much unclimbable. 😂
@@mikegehard6402 ouch!
@@midlifeshredder all part of the game…that which does not kill you only makes you stronger. 😂
My 4th great grandfather Noah Fugatt had 150 acres there and opened coal mines there in the 1840s
Nice! Just booked an Airbnb close to the trail network so we can ride it and pop down to Ride BHM also (if weather cooperates).
Chattanooga is such a great central location to so much! Have a great time!
I was wondering if these trails were Eeb friendly. Guess so! Shoulda put some b-roll of the stairs hike to the amazing waterfalls in there!
Very E-friendly and recommend for those with climbing deficiencies like me! 🤣🤣🤣
@@midlifeshredder Not gonna lie ... when I hear that little motor on your bike kick in I'm jealous. I too am climbing deficient
Trailforks says these aren't ebike friendly. Must not be enforced. Fine with me. I have a Class 1 Orbea Rise ebike.
Midlife guy, when are you available to ride these trails with me?
Group ride? 🤔 Something I’ve been thinking of.
@@midlifeshredder A group is fine, I'm up for either, just want to ride with someone who knows the trails well.
@@millerman692 I don’t live in the area. There’s a Chattanooga MTB group on FB, May want to connect with riders there.
Too much xc for my taste but love the video. You saved me a trip. Thanks.
I wouldn’t say it has too much XC but there is quite a bit of climbing. If you know the Cloudland Canyon trails it’s to be expected. 😉
so... watching this counts as a workout right?? I feel like it should... #middleagefitness?? 😎🙃
🤣🤣🤣

👊🏼 Man, good for you for rocking that single speed rigid 26er with no dropper on black trails! Keep up the great work!
You have no idea what waits for you in 20 years. None of us do.
