Mainstream audience can't handle sophisticated music. She also uses metaphoric lyrics.
Take Brian Fallon for example, whether he is solo, with The Gaslight Anthem, The Horrible Crowes, Molly and The Zombies his lyrics just rip out my soul and resemble it into something better. Not to mention I could listen to just the instrumental and still feel the same.
He sure can make a guitar sing!
The Gaslight Anthem just released a new album after 10 years (they broke up) and it's amazing.
But he's not mainstream, most of his lyrics are metaphorical and you can listen to a song a dozen times and feel one way, then come back to it a week or 2 later and feel completely different with it.
Why isn't she all over the radio and Internet yet??? I heard Octohate at target a year or so ago and thought ok, she's finally getting through but nothing since. Come on, this woman has the best voice currently, I need more!!!!

Yeah definitely - they both have a hint of vibrato in their voices, Ryn's is a little more prominent

I have never tired of any of Ryn’s songs since I found them in 2016 (little late but right on time for me). I only hope she’s happy and that she’ll keep creating. I would love to see her live one day.

I just recently learned about this vocal artist when I saw her perform on Jimmy Fallon's show the other night. From what I've heard so far, damn! This girl is not only quite the hottie-pottie, she has an amazing singing voice--such range--and great, sexy stage presence! She's like a delightful blend between Lana Del Rey and Alanis Morissette, who are also very talented, sexy, and awesome!
