I first heard this song in maybe 2010, and of the various performances this and the 1989 show in London are the best--it's also big in Bulgaria as John Lawton would regularly sing it there. It seems to perfectly capture the optimism and transcendent spirit of he late 60's and early 70's; it's a shame there's not more songs like this.
I was 14 when I found this band and while my friends were listening to bubble gum music they thought my type of music wierd. In addition to this band I loved Emerson lake and palmer and the moody blues.

So, then we Rocked and Rolled when the sun rose, on that JULY MORNING... lookin for love on the beaches and islands, and "under stones yet unturned"...

@@HeepsterMac Yes, actually it's not very easy to make these edits, I'm quite an amateur with Adobe Premiere, and finding material from that time on video is very difficult, especially with Iain Clarke on drums, he only participated in one album ("Look at Yourself ") and I don't think there is any video with him, at least I've never seen it. In fact, the sensational final synth solo of this song is done by a guest musician, Manfred Mann, and has never been recorded on video too. So, this edition is just a small tribute to this longer version, editing video clips of the band that I could find to download. Normally, these edits I do have this purpose, to put some video with moving images for songs that we only find here on YT with static LP covers.
I believe no video film exists anymore of UH until Gary Thain & Lee Kerslake joined the band. Nothing from the first three albums exists now, which is a great shame. The 1970 clip of Gypsy/Dreamare by the BBC has long since been lost or recorded over. If anything ever did turn up from 70/71 it would be worth it’s weight in gold.
