    Great video. It is interesting to notice the difference in defence styles there are. As opposed to you, Marcus and Sukamuljo are using their forehand quite a lot to return smashes.

    Hello, would be nice if you could create a video on badminton wall practice, and also if you should use a heavy racket or normal racket for this exercise.

    • @BadmintonFamly
      @BadmintonFamly  2 роки тому

      Think we have that on our channel 👍🏻

    • @TekkaiJon
      @TekkaiJon 2 роки тому

      @@BadmintonFamly found it! Would you recommend the use of a heavy racket like 140g? Or a normal racket will do? What did you use when you were in the national team last time?

    Should we do a prep jump/ split step just before hitting the smash defence shot... So that we won't be stuck for a drop... Is it correct?....

    • @BadmintonFamly
      @BadmintonFamly  4 роки тому

      Yes a little one so your legs are ready to move/adjust to the shot coming👌🏻

    I am using the thumb grip in double defense, I think it is really useful, but I don't know what is your idea?

    • @BadmintonFamly
      @BadmintonFamly  3 роки тому

      I also use the wrist, i just like to start a bit towards the bevel grip, so when i push the grip rotates towards the thumb generating even more power, try it to see if you like it💪🏻

  • @reubenstephen1721
    @reubenstephen1721 4 роки тому

    Ideally should you not hold a neutral grip and change it when an opportunity for a drive shot is evident?
    It would have been great if you could have shown that transition to the bevel grip even though I realise that this is a practice drill session.

    • @BadmintonFamly
      @BadmintonFamly  4 роки тому

      We have many grip videos that shows this transition, try searching for our bevel grip tutorial💪🏻

    When the opponent drive at your racket arm.. its normally kinda awkward to return but you do it comfortably
