First ride on the kdx200 project. I bought this motorcycle over a year ago for $200, and after some work and expense, this is the result. If you find the piston, let me know!! I try to read all Instagram DMs. - Авто та транспорт
Dude you are WAY too hard on yourself. The wind is not that bad at all for what the video is about. I just love seeing the true reaction you have and I love seeing something that someone put so much time and love into actually work. It gives me hope for all of my projects I have. Also keep going with the uploads this is truly one of my favorite channels.

kdx 200s are the best bike you can buy they are just so mellow and chilled out with the big coushy seat
Not the best for the road though! To each their own, but the KDX being road worthy is only good for getting to and from offroad trails if you only live maybe 20 miles from the trails.

Sounds fine to me. The mirrors on my Ford Bronco II do the same thing. They fold up like a cheap tent. Completely annoying. Your channel showed up in my stuff because I'm renovating a 1973 Chinook. 1973! It's fate! But now I'm obsessed with generators and weed whackers. Who knew?
Came to these guys' page with a tiny idea of owning a Motorbike, binged on their videos, got the inspiration, bought a Yamaha DT 175, I am now in the process of learning how to ride. I bought it for a $1k but none of the electricals, as well as all the gauges, are working. I want to trash it with my learning then when am done learning I guess i will pimp it up. Today was my first day to start learning and I had to watch the KDX200 series of videos for more inspiration. I really needed it. Thank You Alot Guys for your great work.
I love that feeling on the day of the first run when it starts and you realize it's really happening.
I bought and renovated a 1984 Honda H100, for £500. All on a student budget. It's not perfect, but it's roadworthy and a tonne of fun to ride. All original parts too! Took about an academic year. I can hugely relate to you and that first ride feeling! I had tears in my eyes!
Oh boy, oh boy, OH BOY! Have been waiting for this. Also maybe try to put on supermoto "offroad" tires, accept if youl mainly have it for offroad ussage
Just finished my 94 kdx after year of total rebuild and love it! 50 years old and everytime I crank it up feel like a teenager!

With the whole mixing fuel thing, bring along a little bottle with the right amount of oil in it and at the fuel station just refill it!

You cannot put the oil in first, never ever put the oil in first. Shut fuel petcock off put your 1 or 2 gallons in then add oil and shake her for all the hoe is worth. The turn fuel back on, seen it done and it's a fouled plug everytime.
Aquatic Terra Firma why does it foul a plug? As long as your not running it while refuelling right?
George Bowman the oil wil go to bottom of the tank if you add it first, shut off petcock, add fuel then small amounts of oil at a time while shaking bike. Rode hatfields and Mckoys was great and you could take mountain trails to next town, riding friend didn't do it right and we were 20miles from rental house. A nightmare. Even better buy a gallon jug of water dump it out and mix it in that before putting in tank. Oil sinks to bottom until it's mixed and goes straight down fuel line to the plug. BTW my KTM 400 blew up again yesterday, 2nd time in the 50hrs I have owned it.. Talk about pissed!
Aquatic Terra Firma damn that really sucks but yea I pre mix my fuel in a seperate container but if you were on the road it would be awkward to be carrying it around
2 seconds on a actual street with his street legal bike and already breaks the law by running a stop sign.

Well just another day if jennies garage binge watching...AGAIN! nothing else puts me in a better mood to get out to the garage fire up the woodstove and get to work on my projects! Hope all is well glad to see you've came out with a couple new videos hope you keep them coming and are longer than 5mins, I know I know, life gets in the way, atleast your doing what you can and that's all that matters!
I got a 1980 KDX 175 for free last week after helping my friend move (someone throwing it away!!). It was instant karma. You guys are so cool and inspire me to rebuild my bike. It seems like it's stuck in gear, I have some parts in the mail.

I just think its amazing to see someone on UA-cam doing wht i grew up doing and fixing and working on stuff that ant brand new and having fun doing it this is the first channel iv really seen that does this kind of stuff like this most all the channels and people on UA-cam would and do look at something like thr kdx and wouldnt touch it all they see is junk and yaw are realy showing people that just because it ant new and it has some problems doesnt mean that its junk and thats just refreshing to see someone willing to fix a bike that most wouldn't touch and now you have revived a bike that would probably never been road agian there needs to be more people on UA-cam like yaw.

That bike build has only one real purpose: If this were an old movie that would be a get-a-way bike from a bank or jewel robbery. Then you can get away from the cops by going offroad.
I'm envisioning this bike belonging to one of the fighters of the second Massachusetts fleeing skitters in Falling Skies.

I would say if you gear it for higher speed.. The KDX will do ok on the street for small travel. But where the KDX really shines is trail riding.. its such a fun light bike that has great bottom end like a 4 stroke. I have two 220's... love em!!! Ride on man.

I think this is the video that motivated me to start motorcycling again. So now I buy old motorcycles that do not run and fix them up and get them road ready again and use them for myself until they sell. Thanks, now I have fun as well as a hobby that makes me a little money on the side, unless I spend too much on old parts and lose money but still have a lot of fun with the bikes, until they sell. I currently have two for sell, one is a 1987 Honda 700 Super Magna that is real clean and sharp with low miles on it. Around 28,000 and a 2003 Harley Sportster 883 Anniversary model XLH, that had 47,500 and now has over 53,000 that I have put on it. Great bike and a lot of fun. Both for sell for $2,500 each.

You would love my area, 30 mins. to Barber motor sports raceway. They race everything from carts and motorcycles to formula one. It's also the site of the largest motorcycle museum in the US. Don't know when but they are moving Southern Museum of Flight there and will have everything from biplanes to a sr71 blackbird.
