I have a KTM 890 adventure r and I want this windshield (the air flow version the new one), but I have a question, what happens if I travel offroad with the windshield and the extension installed in the lowest position, does it work? Because I know I can take the second screen out, but the thing is, where I live, I need to be on the road a lot to find off-road roads, so I need wind protection when I'm traveling on the road, until I get to the roads. dirt, so I need both protections, I raise the windshield when I'm on the road and lower it when I get to the off-road paths, will it work? Or will it vibrate a lot on the ground? Please give ne your advise
I just did a 3-day trip offroad this weekend and kept the screen in the low position. It was great, I didn’t hit my helmet on it in the steep, violent, technical stuff, and vibration is a non-issue. The. I had a 200 mile freeway ride home and I raised it up. Worked great.
I couldnt lower it enough to not be looking thru it, it drove me crazy. Its like 2 separate realities, looking thru the screen and also trying ride around corners. In general I got ripped off. The bottom piece alone is OK. Im 6 feet tall.
Hi Alex, thanks for the Demo on the windscreen. What's it like at night, does it throw light from the head light back at you. I have found this to be an issue with previous screens I've had. Thanks for your time. Cheers, Bruce
So does the adjustable screen actually work? You don't really describe to what degree it helps, or what height you are and what adjustment position you found best.
Yes, absolutely, it allows you to fine tune the air flow exactly where it's best, which I have found varies depending on the conditions and speed. I'm 6'3". It's easy to adjust, even at freeway speeds.
I got suckered into the this airflow windscreen by youtube reviews, a waste of 200.00. Im 6 feet tall and with the screen all the way down, it blows the air 8" over top of helmet. There is no way to adjust it to where Im not looking thru it........................very disabling to try to ride that way..............I took it off and stuck it in upside down during a ride......which was better for getting home at least. It does not belong on an 890R, the bottom half is squared off, the top is totally rounded.....doesnt look right.
Got my 890 r from ncy motorsports in the San Diego area and had a great experience
Really helpful video and explanation. I’m pretty tall and curious since this worked for you how tall are you?
Does this windshield will fit on my 2024 KTM 890 Adventure R with a KTM power part GPS mount ?

Yes it does, a little bit, but doesn’t bother me.
Great presentation and video. Thanks for sharing.
Will it fit the 890 R Adventure ?
Yes

Great information thank you. New follow here
Great screen just don’t leave your soap on it. It might stain the plastic permanently. Quick wash and wipe will do.
