You should do “cheap eats” . Not labeling it as under $5 or $8 buts it’s a win everytime you hit those numbers
I’ve had the dunkin sausage sammich and hash browns too many times during the pandemic, but I think that’s under $5? Or is it $6? Still close lmao
Gods same! I think the sandwich is like 4.50 and the hash browns another like 1.50 so probably doesn’t fit into this series, but good start for the $8 one!

This is my favorite series on your channel! So glad you’re reviving it. So far since moving to NYC, I’ve gotten the bao from Spring Cafe, the rice rolls from Joe’s Steamed Rice Rolls, and a bagel from Tompkins Square Bagels all on your $5 meal recommendations! I’ve probably gotten other things too but that’s all I can think of right now. Also super happy to see you having a good time in this video!

It makes me so annoyed that it's hard to find vegan food everywhere! Like why is there dairy & animal by product in everything. I had a meltdown personally last week about that lol! Vegans are creative and will find the meal/deal... I appreciate your videos so much!

From a french person that follows you: "Marie Blachère" is a french bakery chain, named after the person which created the concept ! Apparently they just exported in US. Their baguette is very good, you should try it :)

Once we're back to somewhat normal see I want to take a train from Massachusetts to New York and just go to all the places that you have shown me and Brooklyn I especially want to visit Frank Malt shop and I want to go get a chopped cheese sandwich
I think 8.00 is a good cap, that's still a cheap meal. I live in western central NJ where any lunch take out is at least 10.00. We have a great natural food store called Basil Bandwagon in Flemington that has a bunch of vegan options. Other than that, a couple of chains, Moe's and Freshi.
I'm very into the $8 and $10 NYC price points. It can be very hard to find an affordable (vegan) meal! It's so annoying to find the cheapest meals are for omnivores like $5 pork dumplings when veggies are probably less expensive. Vegan food is affordable when you avoid the faux meats.
