So much our nutrition space has the 'burden of responsibility' shifted onto the individual rather than the manufacturers! Hopefully we will see a shift in public health over time
That part is the most frustrating.
What these things do to the body messes up the process of choices of these individuals to make the stand against many of the negative lab chemicals taking over.
Like myself and many others when these things. There is a reason why when negatives go on of these things.
The confusion of these external patterns when called out isn't them externally of what comes out as much as to be true of their choice when these lab chemical addictives taken over them in the first place.
NAH THATS NEVER GONNA HAPPEN IN THIS SOULLESS GREEDY COUNTRY. CORPORATIONS ALWAYS PUT PROFIT AND PERSONAL GAIN OVER THE PUBLIC HEALTH.
This is why I don't eat highly-processed industrial frankenfoods that are made in a factory and packaged into bags, bottles, boxes, or cans. If it has a label and a barcode on it, I don't eat it. I have half a share of grass-fed grass-finished beef in the freezer and that's all I eat.
That's good eating!

❤ I needed to hear that. ❤
Finally attention to this is being spoken about. Yesterday RFK finally said he will all he can to crack down on the FDA.
Thank You RFK, it gets so frustrating having to check EVERY LABEL INGREDIENT when shopping
You hit the nai on the head saying that US is more concerned about acute aka "easy to establish a direct link" then long-term effects of food ingredients.
The FDA finally banned brominated vegetable oil (BVO) effective August 2nd. ✌🏻Thank you for spreading the word and helping make a difference!
Atrazine (specific type of herbacide) is one that concerns me too. Also happens to be banned in Europe, but not in the US 🙄
The us food ruins puberty in kids
A very fine video essay!
I think you give way too much credit to the FDA as being sincere and not captured by industry. I hope you're right and I'm just being overly cynical. Thank you for your work.
The FDA happily destroyed many
Forgive spelling and if I missed any… did not hear 7 unless the dyes are each considered 1.
Potassium Bromate
Azondicarbonate (ADA)
brominated vegetable oil
Titanium dioxide
Yellow 5,7, Red 40.
Anyone knows a low sugar soda/soft drink...in the 7 to, say, 15g max range? I'm sick of zero sugar, but don't want to drink 20-40g per 16oz soda. There was one, I recall maybe 4/5years ago...but it was bought out by Coca Cola, then disappeared. I'm familiar with Zevia and aspartame zero sodas...looking for a *low sugar/ hfcs sodas...any suggestions, thanks!
You could try flavored sparkling water
One big dangerous reason is people can be on these boards, making nutritional guidelines for our country and have conflict of interest. They could have ties to Kellogg’s or other products that have these dangerous chemicals in them! In fact, a majority of people do have complex of interest who are on these various boards!
Allulose is not permitted in the EU. It may be when it's been tested on the population of the US and a few other countries, but I like the careful approach of the EU. [Edit: I'm visiting this time because there is a newer "Levels" podcast about allulose, a synthetic low calorie "sweetener" produced from corn/maize, which is very positive, uncritical.]
I buy all my food without additives. It actually is possible.
Sure seems like Health Insurance Companies and Medicare would be receptive to a WFPB vegan message and eliminating dangerous additives in our food.
It would save them money on health care costs. This could off set the lobbying by food manufacturers.
Maybe educating health Insurance Companies and Medicare administrators should be a priority.
Health Insurance companies might even push doctors to take nutrition more seriously by paying for nutrition counseling of patients.
I was with you until you dropped the word ‘vegan’. 😢
Please don't push vegan on everyone. I absolutely suffer if I eat plants. I ONLY feel healthy when I eat ONLY meat, fish, and eggs.
It is sad big food continues to value the profit margin over the health of it's customers. #eatclean #eatwholefood

I'll pass on the plant based diet. I don't tolerate plants at all. I tolerate low carb vegetables better than high carb ones, and I tolerate high carb vegetables better than legumes and nuts, but every one of them cause me symptoms, both physically and mentally. I eliminated all processed foods, all seed oils, and all sugar for two years, and ate a diet VERY heavy in vegetables and I just kept getting more ill. I suffered for a good decade, and to the point that I sometimes wished I just wouldn't wake in the morning. The last thing for me to try was a carnivore diet. I resisted for a long time, but finally decided I had nothing left to lose. That was three years ago and it has completely ended all of my suffering, both physical and mental, and has given me my life back. Every time I try and reintroduce vegetables or other plants I get a return of symptoms. So no, plant based isn't for everyone.
