YSL All Hours was reformulated unfortunately (you have the new version). Previous version was my fav foundation ever 😕... I hate L'oreal and their constant reformulating! I tried this one and it doesn't work on my dry skin.

I have that Peter Thomas Roth eye firmer. It works. It just has to be used the right way or it will leave a film under your eye. Thanks for all the fun videos! xo
Can a moisturiser be applied on top of it when it's dry?
@@chrissymoss514 no, it will not work, that's why it can't be used every day, it's very drying, i bought it but it's not working as it should be at least on my under eye and i have big puffiness...you can use it from time to time, i don't see the point

This primer confuses me.
As I understand it, the primer has to be applied onto freshly washed, dry skin - so, that means zero skincare products.
After application and once completely dry, foundation can be applied.
When would I apply my SPF???????

@Morgan if you get foundation on your clothes, try using shaving cream. I was able to get foundation stains out.

florasis is a lovely brand. i have a few eyeshadow palettes. their hydrating primer is the best i have ever used.
The Ysl foundation is my favorite, I do have normal to oily skin and I use this foundation with no primer. It works great on my skin, it last all day. It’s my favorite foundation, and I also used to have the old formulation, both work great on my skin. I do prep my skin and I put on top of my sunscreen.

I would love to see the foundation with another primer. I’m 58. I’m interested in the primer. I agree it’s definitely for more mature skin. The necklace set is really cute.
I wouldn’t recommend the primer for under foundation. I’ve tried it with a few of my favorite foundations and it doesn’t look good imo. The primer sucked all the moisture out of my skin and made my foundation patchy
Try the Bobbi Brown face base…. It works beautifully with the LYS foundation. It truly IS a beautiful with a hydrating primer.

Horrible fondation i used it yeasterday it was patchy it separated clumped n i had so many dry patches I couldn't wait 2 wash it iff was so drying n cacky

L.A. Girl has a great blue color corrector that will change the warm undertone to a cool one. I have used it with several warm tones. I know you didn’t purchase this foundation but it has saved me quite a bit of money. Can’t help you with the primer though, sorry.
Elf has a color corrector as well a blue one peach green Etc. It takes just a smallest amount I've used the NYXs ones too and they're pretty good
@@tinahickman6300 I have seen the new ones from ELF but I haven’t tried them. I have had mine for a couple of years and I know it works and it’s just a few dollars. Either one is probably good.

The ysl foundation also works best with a sponge instead of a brush in my experience. So could have been the primer or the brush you started with.

I have a product from the ptr line. I've had it a few years and it works best if I mix it in with my foundation. If I use it before foundation it does firm and stuff but then re wetting it with foundation makes the results go away immediately. If it's in the foundation and they set together it tightens. It lasts most of the day too.

I have this YSL foundation and I love it when I want "porcelain" skin - more matte and perfected finish. I apply it with sponge and have to work fast, but the result is really nice. With some of my moisturizers or sunscreen it pills a little bit, but usually don't have any problem (I have normal to oily skin and use more light moisturizers)
And the most important - it feels really lightweight on skin
This liquid foundation has great coverage.🥰

I hate the foundation pumps that explode it out, I love Dior forever matte foundation but the damn thing has ruined my clothes because it comes out in sideways jets and it doesn't wash out
It might have to do with the primer. Because I saw people review that eye thing from Peter Thomas Roth and makeup wouldn't go over it at all. Specifically concealer
Not true about the ysl foundation! I have dry sensitive and it wasn’t drying for me!, this foundation is dope!,,,,, definitely the primer!
The primer is definitely not made for this full coverage, mattifying primer. Just try a hydrating primer next time and it should look much better👍🏻
I hope the formula hasn't changed with in the last year! I have very dry skin and the YSL foundation is my holy grail all time favorite!!

I have an oily t-zone but I don’t love the foundation either unfortunately because it was expensive 😑
I wanted to let you know I did get the Charlotte Tilbury highlighter and it actually adds or excentuates I should say, my texture more than the rare beauty. I had hoped it wouldn't be as noticeable with the CT ones but it could be because it's darker than my skin a little. I got the lightest one available but the base is a touch darker than my skin.
I have mature, combo skin and the YSL foundation did crazy things on my skin, too. I tried it with no primer and my Caliray primer and had the same results. It was a big fail for me.
Omg me 2 used the same primer n i hated the ysl my $5 wet n wild fondation is 100× better

As far as the primer is concerned it tells you that you have to use it on completely clean skin no skin care at all. Risa does makeup did a review of that and she said you can use Skin Care just make sure it's well before you use the primer and that everything is really soaked in
It's definitely the primer it's terrible terrible,but the foundation is fantastic 👌
I also use the concealer on a brush, not from the tube. I don't like the packaging.
I have a strong feeling the foundation acted like that due to the primer. It never dries that fast during the blending process in my experience
For some reason the PTR primer is scaring me!! I'm assuming moisturiser and SPF can be applied on TOP of it (before foundation, obviously). Nonetheless, it sounds like something my dry skin would react to - I'm not even going to consider it.
I think oily skin types would love it though.

When you said, "remain expressionless for 3 to 7 minutes", my mind registered that as, "good luck trying not to bust out laughing at random, stupid stuff like the words 'but' or 'hole' or 'poop' for 3 to 7 minutes." 😂 I'm 30........ 💚🖤
I believe that with just like with the eye cream the primer has some type of formulation that temporarily does have the tightening effect on the skin, but just like with the eye cream the effect wears off immediately when you remove the product. So if you are going into this primer knowing that the effect isn't permanent I think it would have been great, but oh why did they have to put the tint in it?! It's bs that there is such a thing as "universal tint", you can see it from Morgan's skin how the tone of the primer does not go with her skintone and I'd imagine it the same with everyone accept the ppl whose skintone is specifically the same as the tint in the primer. I'd imagine the tint also potentially messing up with the foundation shade or concealer you are applying on top of it.
For that primer, it's supposed to be freshly cleaned skin...no product including moisturizer should be used before putting on the primer.

That foundation has a terrible ingredients list. It has all three of denatured alcohol, fragrance and essential oils... a literal disaster for the skin. Denatured alcohol is second on the list so that is why it dries very fast and is drying on dry skin.
There’s only one denatured alcohol in that foundation. The two at the bottom of the ingredients are preservatives and masking agents. Nothing harmful about them. There are actually some alcohol ingredients that are good for your skin, like stearyl, cetearyl, cetyl, etc. because they are fatty alcohols.

If you understand English, when I said "all three", it means all of three of 1. denatured alcohol, 2. fragrance and 3. essential oils if you read the sentence properly. All of these are bad for your skin. This foundation is a skincare disaster, I would never even use such product on my body let alone my face with that ingredient list, so bad for skin, no doubt about that. Even Nivea does better.
