@@KuldeepSharma-is1kp Hi Kuldeep, I'm unaware of any sites in India for the trial. If you contact the Study Director in the trial link in the description they may be able to help.
Kya india mai available hai please update process availability and cost in india kya rituximab injection sea safe or infective hai my 16 year child MOG positive and doctors plan rituximab please suggest me
Hi Kuldeep, sorry to hear about your child. Rituximab is used as a preventative treatment for MOGAD and some people find it to be useful in stopping attacks. You can find more information about it on our website under the Treatments section along with some alternatives - mymyelitis.com/mog-antibody-disease/information/
My wife 32 years suddenly optic neuritis. She treated in steroids and recover within 1 month but after 3 month blood test result MOG positive. What is the next treatment procedure? Is it dangerous? Is it curable? I am very tensed.
I’m sorry to hear about your wife. A positive mog test is not necessarily a bad thing. Some healthy people can test positive for antimog and it doesn’t mean the optic neuritis will definitely happen again. If any new symptoms appear or optic neuritis comes back you need to seek medical help as soon as possible. There is no cure but with quick steroid treatment recovery tends to be good
QOTD - If you are clinically stable, would you take part in a MOGAD clinical trial to test a new treatment? My answer - No, unless the current preventative treatment I was taking was causing me problems and that the new treatment might cause me less problems. If I was stable, I would be concerned about the new treatment not being as effective and possibly cause a relapse.
I’m afraid to do anything that might cause a relapse. So, no. Would not participate at this point. I had Transverse Myelitis that was reversed with steroids 12/2021. I can deal with the effects from it and would be apprehensive to reverse anything.
Thank you for your comment. I feel the same way about participating in trials and it would likely take a significant change in my condition for me to consider taking part in one
Sounds like a great treatment 👍
Let’s hope it is successful in stopping MOGAD relapses!
