  • Join us on an exciting hike to waterfalls that’s just a fifteen minute drive from downtown Chattanooga in Tennessee. Middle Creek Falls is a magical area of multiple waterfalls and clear swimming pools that is popular among the locals. It’s located on Signal Mountain, with the hidden trailhead for Middle Creek Trail right off of Suck Creek Road. On this adventure, we are testing our hiking shoes with some seriously fun boulder climbing up a dry stream bed that is usually flowing with water, and then cool off by jumping into the waterfalls. We hope you enjoy joining us on this adventure!

Anyone watching this: If you go hiking here you can boulder crawl like they did in this video but there is also a fragmented trail that follows the creek. If you are walking in from the parking area just stay on the right hand side of the creek. The trail will veer off to the right, up some stone steps. Keep going up the boulders, following where the natural sort of cut out takes you and the trail picks back up again. A little ways up, the trail sort of splits in different directions but they end up taking you to the same spot not far from where it splits. This trail, I’m guessing, was made from people trekking through, creating a natural path. A bit further up the trail it seemingly comes to a dead end but I am told that it continues, eventually taking you to rainbow falls and signal point.

This summer on our trip we parked on Soco rd in Maggie valley on the side. It was really freaky but worth it to see Soco Falls. It was beautiful. Paul's brother takes you guys to some interesting places to hike. After this summer we are loving waterfalls too. They are amazing! Florida has a few man-made ones but nothing compared to what we saw in GA, TN, NC, and AL. Lol your brother listens to Lord of Rings music while on an Adventure! Beautiful area!

Those are all such beautiful areas! We'll have to remember Soco Falls if we're passing through again. Yeah he knows some pretty awesome places that we would have never known about! I wish we had more mountainous waterfalls to explore in Florida but we love bouncing back and forth between the mountains and the ocean like you guys! Always great to hear from you!

If you're in that area again you may want to go a little farther south and check out Desoto Park and Little River Canyon just outside of Ft. Payne, Al, the Lookout Mountain area. @@cherrmaus3852 from Chattanooga you take signal mountain blvd to Suck Creek Road. This is middle creek. It runs off of signal mountain. You will see concrete barriers on the right side of the road, which is where you will park. You can identify Middle Creek on google maps. Water levels may not be ideal tomorrow with the lack of rain. First time I went was way better than the second due to water flow.

UA-camrs are the ones that get our secret swimming holes bombarded by city folk and fence climbers that end up leaving trash everywhere.
I've lived here around Chattanooga area for 50 years and since UA-camrs they are 18 swimming holes us locals can not even go to anymore do to this.
