If you noticed the man not singing. His name is Randy Travis. He can no longer sing because he had a massive stroke a few years ago. I recommend reacting to any song done by him. He had an amazing beautiful baritone voice.
he also did the the last forever and ever amen on josh turners cover album. also at the cma ceremony that year he has the last amen at the end. he's been trying to regain what he can of his voice
The man in the middle who's run you liked, probably is the most all around famous and decorated artist in this video. Vince Gill. One of the best guitar players in the industry. You really should react to him! He's worked with basically everyone in the business!
Maggie, do NOT watch the version from George Jones' funeral... or do, if your in need of cathartic tears... it creates ugly crying...REALLY ugly crying.
Anything with Vince Gill will be a keeper...and his duets with Patty Loveless are, for lack of a better word...magical...particularly "When I Call Your Name".
I know there are country singers who are more famous for their voice, but, personally, I think Vince Gill has the single most beautiful voice of any male country singer, ever.
Maggie- couple things to point out. The gentleman sitting, not singing is Randy Travis. Several years before this was recorded, he suffered from a massive stroke. One of the most prolific artists of the late 80s and 90s now can barely whisper. There is a video of Kane Brown in a TV studio performing Randy's hit Forever and ever, Amen. As he was finishing the song Randy walked out and sang, just a whisper really the last word- Amen. Not a dry eye in the studio. It was the first time he had publicly sung since the stroke. Speaking of Kane Brown, another overlooked artist in the video Mr. Charlie Pride. The first African American country music superstar. He set the path for the likes of Kane and Darius Rucker. I was honored to meet him several times in my youth. Very much a gentleman. Been a fan of his most of my life. Maggie, thanks for this, I love these songs and video, I only wish John Denver was still alive and could sing his song as Willie and Dolly did with theirs, by the way, Dolly gorgeous as always, I recall that when I was a kid in the 70's I grew up loving country music thanks to The Muppets show, they introduced me to my all time favorites John Denver, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and Johny Cash, I was fascinated by their voices and melody although I did not understand any English back then, although the show was dubbed the songs were in English. Later in the 80's in the late hours of the night when the radio waves of AM local stations were off I could catch the country radio stations of the United States and I could enjoy country music for hours, already by then I was starting to study English classes in high school and was able to understand a little of the lyrics. im an old guy (to you ) at 55 years old. this video incorporated many of the voices I grew up with as a child, enjoyed with my family as a young adult , and have fell in love with in my middle aged (in years only) times. there is not an artist that appeared on this video that is not worthy of you taking a deep dive into. some of these people are the taproots of Country music, others are the fruit of these roots. Black, White , Hispanic (hell one is from Australia) soak their talents up, even if you dont do reactions, if you are the person musically that im pretty sure you are, you will learn so much about music, lyrics, and life outside the urban sprawl especially. I really hope you take this journey, because the benefits are HUGE, and the risk is NOTHING. come to the country and visit us, we love you and will still love you if it isn't for you. cause thats how we roll out here. It was touching they included Randy Travis, even though he did not sing a note. He suffered a severe stroke several years ago and cannot sing anymore. He did have an amazing voice, need to check out any of his songs.
The gentleman with the crack voice is Vince Gill. He started with the rock group Pure Prairie League, went off on his own in country/bluegrass, and now is a member of The Eagles. Check out his song Go Rest HIgh on the Mountain. He did a duet of this song with Patty Loveless at George Jones funeral - He could not sing the entire song because he got choked up.
I cannot help but think that somewhere John Denver is smiling. He was ostracized by the Country Music industry back in the 70s, even though he was a superstar to his adoring fans... and here the main root of this tribute is Country Roads... perhaps his most remembered song in his VAST catalog of music. Well done, John!
The "vocal crack" was Vince Gill. Interesting description because if you check out his songs you will get hooked to it like Crack. He's an amazing singer and songwriter. P. S. That Carrie Underwood cover... fire... I'm in love.

Maggie, yep, and what song did they choose as the main? THAT'S CORRECT, my all time favorite musical artist and musical hero: JOHN DENVER's "Take Me Home, Country Roads". The ultimate irony is, John never considered himself a Country Music act. Still a great collaboration all the way around.
No I haven't Maggie, I am not a fan of modern Country music whatsoever. It stopped being good once the 90s hit. I do HIGHLY recommend you check out Charley Pride "Roll on Mississippi" for good REAL COUNTRY.
I have a simple dream that someday the main stream country music scene will notice country music from around the world. Not only confined in the American South or rural America, Rural Canada and the Australian outback. I am an Igorot (one of the major indigenous people of the Philippines) from the mountainous Northern region of the Cordillera and Country Music is big here. The Americans brought the music here when they occupied the country from 1898-1946 and until now American presence can still be felt. In addition I also saw the Naga people of the Nagaland, Northern India who have similar culture to us Igorots who also love Country Music. I also watch the Country singing Mongolian and The Thailand cowboy in singing contest. My grandfather and father passed away still clanged to this dream that someday a country singing star will have a tour in our area of the world.
🤠 So just looking online there are not many good country music mashups. This on the other hand is really a weaving together of three famous country songs. Hats off to the composer and arranger of this great piece of music. 🤠

I loved this you should take listen to LOVEBITES, All female speed metal band from japan. Incredible muscians. I thank you for taking me to this trip in childhood memories
Fun fact, Dolly Parton gets offended when she gets referred to as the Queen of Country and beleives that title belongs to Kitty Wells. She also went on to talk up Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn before she could accept any such title. This was all in an article with Classic Country Music and The Outsider incase anyone is wondering my source.
Saw Tammy Wynette in concert years ago. She was sooooooo great. She did something few if ANY of the so called country singers of today could do - she ask the audience to shout out what they wanted to hear and asked the band to play it so she could oblige. No autotune, no gimmicks, just pure talent. Sadly she passed far too young. Also saw Dolly in 2011 and she was amazing. Took my mum to see Charley Pride as well, surprised her with the tickets when walking past the theatre. He and his band put on quite a show.

Love your y'all!
I met Dolly Parton once, she is exactly as sweet and sassy as she seems! Love her so much (and most of these artists)

Dropping back into this one 2 year latter time flys in the Maggie world. One of my very few reactions that didn’t scare the cheese muffins out of you.
Thank you for your comment. Did you like the new reaction video to Brad Paisley I just posted?
No I haven't Maggie, I am not a fan of modern Country music whatsoever. It stopped being good once the 90s hit. I do HIGHLY recommend you check out Charley Pride "Roll on Mississippi" for good REAL COUNTRY.
👍😊
Your country cover sounded awesome. Cute hat too. ;)

🤠 So just looking online there are not many good country music mashups. This on the other hand is really a weaving together of three famous country songs. Hats off to the composer and arranger of this great piece of music. 🤠

Maggie, I loved your reaction to this video. Always entertaining and thought provoking. However, you need to react to Rob and Austin singing opera. Yes, I said opera. You will be blown away. I'll be watching.

Thank you for your lovely comment! 😀💖 Hope you can join my singing LIVE stream tomorrow here: ua-cam.com/video/fqV8x8S4VDQ/v-deo.html
I know there are country singers who are more famous for their voice, but, personally, I think Vince Gill has the single most beautiful voice of any male country singer, ever.
Thanks! Hope to see you on my LIVE stream shortly?
I don't mind you talking, pausing and rewinding, that's just the nature of the beast. But, honestly, I didn't stop here to hear YOU sing.
Well, I was trying to find a nicer way to say it but I agree with you. I love the reaction to the video and pausing and speaking and hearing what you think is why we watch a reaction video.
I loved this you should take listen to LOVEBITES, All female speed metal band from japan. Incredible muscians. I thank you for taking me to this trip in childhood memories
Thank you so much for watching and for your suggestion! 😊

🤠
Thanks for watching! 🤠 See you early in the chats tomorrow! 😍
hey , that emoji is me 🤠😎🤠
Especially for you, LOL! 🤠 💖🤠
🌹🌹🌹
Definitely you Chuck!!
Shall we ask Dagfinn for another cowboy emoji?
only if its a shark or a dolphin w a hat
Seriously, you merged so nicely in to the country groove, you should try doing some country songs for an album
LOL! Thank you so much for watching and for your suggestion! 😊
@@maggiereneemusic Well I can picture you doing a 3 way of you, Keith Urban and either Carrie or if she's up to it Kelsea Ballerini ! Now that would get awards!
@@steveeverett1736 😍🙏
@@maggiereneemusic I'd suggest you have your agent contact theirs, your voice with either Carrie or Kelsea would be perfect and Keith can handle the guitar riffs!
@@steveeverett1736 LOL! You are so funny! Thank you, but I don't have an agent yet. 🤣😥😴

Dolly is one of my favorites as well.
Now I love me some Dolly. But never would I bestow upon her the moniker "Queen of Country". If there were such an honor, it would absolutely be Reba.
Thank you for your comment. Did you like the new reaction video to Brad Paisley I just posted?
Disagree Dolly's been in a whole lot longer Reba and she can buy Reba
@@sammygouge1325 true. An argument could be made for either of them. But for me.. always gonna be Reba
I believe joseph kahn directed video. Hes kind of epic lol. Great idea
Randy Travis was shown sitting down inside the house but was unable to sing because of a recent stroke
Hey! Love your videos! Could you make a video about what you think about the increase in Juilliard tuition? If my niece’s dream is to attend Juilliard, would you say it’s worth it? Thanks for sharing your talent and making videos!
Not happy about the hike in tuition, but Juilliard is a great school. Thank you for your comment. Metal is next on my channel! 🤘 Set your reminders and 'ring the bell for notifications'! Will you be there tomorrow early in the chats for a fun metal premiere?
They forgot Ronnie Milsap and Charlie Pride. That was Venice Gill!
dolly is the french kiss to this song
You should give Tiny riot by Sam rider/ryder a reaction. Both orchestral and the proper version🤙🏻
Maggie since you like collaborative works then watch "U.S.A. For Africa - We Are the World (Official Video)".
Thank you so much for watching and for your suggestion! 😊
Agreed it is beautiful and star studded.
Also Band Aid 'Do They Know It's Christmas' - the original one with Paul Young, Bono, etc
😳HOLY CRAP!!! You did an amazing job singing Carrie’s song. Ya I suggested Vince Gill “go rest high on the mountain” he sang at George Jones funeral. O ya and bring some tissues 😢.
Could you Please check out HammerFall - Between Two Worlds and Chain of Commands (don’t have any opera. But the singer does some insane high notes)
