This. Birmingham ran the ball for 183 yards. And their D frequently blanketed the Arlington receivers and pressured Perez. You’d hardly know it watching these highlights.

I agree that everyone should go support their team but the leagues succeed isn't dependent on crows attendance the TV contracts cover all expenses and salaries or at least it did with the USFL they actually turned a profit with mostly empty seats for teams not named the Stallions playing in Birmingham.

I was there also it was fun it was great seeing people that love football and came just to see a exciting game while the nfl is off i watch soccer and baseball but footabll is what hooks me the most but yeah the renegades offense didn't showed up in the second half

Matt is an nfl qb bruh this dudes release time accuracy and ball velocity are insane. The horrible management of the panthers rly messed him over
fully agree. as a panthers fan, his release speed and accuracy really jumped off the screen with his highlights before the draft, and I wish we had stuck with him long enough to really see what he had. Hes still young too, like 25 maybe? plenty of potential. His connection with Jace Sternberger at TE seems to be good too.

I want to see the UFL have star players that don't leave for the NFL just to be sent to the practice squad or cut, but I also like the idea of giving new players a chance at pro every year. I'm glad to see spring ball. I can't wait for this leagur to add more teams and fans in the stands.

Shame they lost but Birmingham might be the class of the league. Renegades are going to be competitive in the XFL conference for sure as long as they have Perez at QB
I was also at this game with my girlfriend it was great seeing people that love football and just wanted to see an exciting game while the nfl is off we both had fun we already bought plenty of merch go renegades we'll get it next week

Watched both games today...so happy Spring football is back and both games were pretty good! Also very glad the two leagues merged...collaboration instead of direct competition will greatly increase the likelihood of this combined league surviving. I loved the old USFL of the 1980's when I had football nearly all year round. If we as fans support this league they will hopefully bring in more former USFL, XFL and maybe AAF teams as expansion teams in the future.

Curt Menefee is an underrated play by play announcer. Every play feels important when he's making calls.
Probably cause he usually calls out the highlights which were all big plays.
I was fiending for some football. Very happy that spring football is a thing now. I hope it becomes a permanent part of the US sport culture! It would be cool to tell my kids in like 30 years that I saw the first UFL game and first UFL touchdown!

I was there in person for the game in Arlington. it was a pretty solid crowd. Though the Renegades got the L, hopefully they can turn it around and the Arlington fans continue to show up for the games.

Thiss is smart football great Defensive players and coaches with both offense looking for points
One thing I noticed from both games today was the differences in video production value. This game was using the USFL production team. I could tell by the use of the drone camera and dark bland colors of the video. That's what threw me off about the USFL vs the XFL production. I have sensory issues and the constant drone hum was making it hard to concentrate. The second game was using the XFL production team and there was a notable difference. The second game was bright and colorful and it felt like watching an NFL game.
All this league have to do is keep tackling part of the game

Stallions have like 10-12 NFL caliber players they should win the league this year. I like Corral as the passing QB and Martinez to run like 5-8 times a game.

I agree, and I think competition is always a good thing, but the NFL has a partnership agreement with this league, and a lot of the rules you'll see here are used as a testing ground for what could eventually be in the NFL. the new kickoff for instance in the NFL came from these leagues.

@@jthompson759 Maybe one day we'll see what everyone really wants--a way for the rules to adjust so the CFL and the USFL can merge into the IFL. I think you'd get a lot more people excited for that.
