You should definitely check out X Japan!! They are the biggest band in Japan's history, and in most people's opinion, the best. Good songs to start with are Kurenai, Forever Love, Endless Rain, Silent Jealousy...I highly recommend the live versions (with hide, their guitarist, before he died). Have fun!
I can't hear the voice of the Vocalist. : / I love the sound of the violin, but in this one I just heard a monotonous melody does not transmit anything. u_u
