When it is hot people ride at night. there is a tower with lights to know what direction to go. most regulars know the dunes very well and can get around fine.
The purpose of airing down your tires isn't to make them wider, it is to make the contact patch longer. Your tread width does not magically go from 12.5" to 15" wide when you air down. It is still 12.5", but not pushed down into the sand and filled back in by the sand to make it look narrower. When tire pressure is dropped, you are increasing your tire's foot print lengthwise like a ski or tank track, thus increasing your floatation. You'd be surprised to find out that skinny tires with tall side walls will air down and run great on sand as well. Sometimes even better than their equivelant height wider brothers will. There is a point where wider tires will have more over all rolling resistance due to the width and will push more sand in the mini wave in front of the tire as you travel. The skinny tire will not have as much frontal width thus less rolling resistance.
I’ve wheeled with both and prefer what I call pizza slicers, stock size is a decent width too. My main point was you increase your contact with lower pressure which is what you’re saying too. It’s harder to showcase anything other than width in this case.
@@SirWilliamGoes Pizza cutters are a good name for skinnys. I get what your saying being difficult to describe what you see in the sand between aired up and aired down. Someday, we'll see a paint patch print on some cardboard from someone motivated to make a video on it.
Yeah sometimes what the video looks like on pc vs UA-cam vs Tv is completely different thanks for comment redo!! Hopefully it looks a lot better now and you can see the detail in the sand. Definitely an awesome place. Thanks for watching
AWESOME AF!!!

Yeah you’d have to Jack the truck up and let it down I guess
@@SirWilliamGoes That's exactly how I invision it would have to be performed.
Uh oh, re-upload? Anyway, what an awesome hidden gem in the middle of OK. Thanks for sharing!

Great video
Thanks
Nice on my overland trip in the US will consider stopping here thanks 🙏🏾
Great Vid.. Man Action Trax are no joke. Never knew you can use as material handler as well. Smart design
Yep and the jagged teeth help when used as a sawing motion to really get up under the tire.
I bought a pair of track boards, guy told me they were made in Kansas when he delivers them to me
Yep. Wichita.
Nice man!
Thanks!
Did you ever experience any sand in your rear diff seal making lots of noise after sand dunning?
Na
That’s so weird! I had so much sand up that diff after hitting the beach lol maybe my bad kuck
I was reading on the park rules that 4×4 vehicles must have a roll bar. Is that rule enforced?
Oh really!! I just saw they have to have a flag. There was absolutely noone there when we went.
This is true. I actually have family in waynoka which is where the Little Sahara is located so that’s how I know.
It is not the width of your tire track that is most important, it is the elongation of the track, which you can't measure on the sand track.
Yeah my point was just overall more contact in sand, mud, rocks easier to show width
How far away is this from ada ok?
Not sure
You get your use from the Toyota
as an old man said to me one time, I didnt buy it to walk!!
I see you Mike repin the Denver Broncos gear !!! Go Broncos!!!
Don't do vids while you drive..,.distracted drivers are dangerous on the road.
