  • GIGABYTE's resident PC builder Leon Chen dropped by the Newegg Studio to build a killer gaming system with an i7-7700k CPU, a monster Aorus GTX 1080 graphics card, and an Aorus Z270 Gaming 9 motherboard as well as a full assortment of GIGABYTE Xtreme Gaming components. Didn't know GIGABYTE made power supplies, cases and CPU coolers? They did a few years ago and now the're back. So if you're curious about building a gaming PC, Overwatch gaming PCs or looking to upgrade to a VR-ready or 4k editing system with GIGABYTE or Aorus components, check out the video.

    No first boot test. Also "forward slash" is just "slash". They are synonyms like "price point" and "price" are.

    That was awesome, Explained nicely, Thank you. I am going to build an Aorus System in a few months. But here in Australia everything is stupidly expensive when it comes to P.C. components. I'm looking at a $6000 build.

    I would have loved to see you connect the case lighting. I have the same case and for whatever reason it doesnt light up. By that I mean the "Extreme Gaming" Light on the case itself. Thought I connected everything.

    GPU release date 3-10-17. At CES it was mentioned that the 1080ti (rumors of release 3-10-17) would use the same cooler. Coincidence I think not.

    DId I read somewhere that this board costs $499....? LOL! That is just hilarious for a Z270 based board. I'll 'struggle' onward with my mere $165 Asus Z270 Prime, I guess, and, if I feel I need 3 LAN ports, I'll install a $50 NIC..... There, $300 saved.

      In life, you do get what you pay for.

    • @TyFly312
      @TyFly312 7 років тому +1

      raymondgoubet wow, so no one ever gets cheated if they are computer illiterate??? like old people or people who just haven't learned what the price of items are or should be, u sound ignorant, u don't always get what u pay for, when Zen CPUs get released you'll see, almost the same technology as Intel's CPUs but at a way cheaper price, we'll see if u still think this, remember same clock speeds for 1/2 to 1/3 the price

    • @raymondgoubet
      @raymondgoubet 7 років тому

      Well, maybe, but personally, I would still get Intel, for the quality (as you said "almost the same technology", there is the "almost"), and with that money the hopefully keep the lead, and get even better. And by the way, at my age, I won't need money for another 50 years, we don't need it in the afterlife! LOL. Of course, anybody is free to disagree with me.

    • @TyFly312
      @TyFly312 7 років тому +2

      raymondgoubet see if u did you're research the (almost) works in AMD's favor this time, same clock speeds, same technology but AMD profected the nm on the chips making them better overall and adding more to the L2 and L3 cache but if u wanna be an Intel fanboy and be an idiot, by all means, feel free to pay $200-$700 more for the same technology (4 core, 8 thread or 8 core, 16 thread) CPUs because u love to make Intel richer rather than see AMD cares about your pockets.

    An an electrical engineer, I can't believe you;re not grounded. Many PCs will get damaged if you're not grounded. You PC guys don't usually much care because you work ina store with a lot of spare parts around, but when the humidity is low, you can EASILY charge up and destroy things.
    Other than that, I'd assemble on an ESD-safe surface, about like you're doing it.
    So, not bad except for no attention at all to ESD.
