- 2022 brought us two of the biggest updates we have seen in recent maplestory times. The destiny update and the Ignition update. Remastering the knight of cygnus and explorer classes. While also changing a lot of the other classes. Today we figure out which classes gained the most levels and were more popular compared to others in MapleStory Global.

Kinda crazy that all the resistance classes fill out the bottom of the charts and yet Nexon decided to cancel the resistance rework
Most resistance classes have unique playstyles that are just not suited to what the average mapler is looking for so unless they just simplify all these classes and make them like any other class, a rework wouldn't help too much.
I dont know what they think, but BaM keep getting nerfed😢.

@@danielsiu929 there wasn’t any planned officially. we assumed that there will be one since they are revamping old classes like Explores and KOC, so we assumed Resistance would be next. But during the KOC revamp update they informed that they aren’t doing such large scale revamps anymore and only changing and working specific classes that needed it
I don't think it was even planned, but knowing Nexon --- they will eventually. They want more money right?

Great idea to compare the two data sets pre and post destiny update! I think the game healthier now with class variety and ease of skipping prequests on bossing mules 🙌

Hi coppersan, returning player from 08-09 and was just wondering if you could make a video regarding armor sets / how to get and what quests someone should be focusing on. Finally got my Paladin past level 200 and am so lost as what to do next. Love you content btw!!!
I’ve been a Marksman main since the game came out in the early 2000s and through the years I’ve always gone back (moving from SEA to GMS, quitting for 10 years and having my old account purged). It’s so nice to see them getting a bit more love now!

I changed mains from Adele to DW, I don't care that it might look like I'm "going with the easiest" or something like that.... truth is, with working and trying to maintain a life, I think remastered DW is the class that requires the least time to improve (Dailies are easy with DW mobbing, only 3 skills need boost node, strong even before funding, etc) so it's the best class to use for someone like me
Yeah Night Walker is my curreent 2nd main now :D Love mobbing and bossing with him :)
Don't get me wrong. I love ark for his transformation, but they REALLY to revamp how long and often you can go into spectre form. Even Kaiser can stay transformed much longer, and honestly charges they morph meter about the same speed roughly. Arks normal form is just so lack luster.

Lara is such an underrated class. By far my favorite for mobbing and would prefer that to farm mesos bc it is just so enjoyable to play. It never feels like a chore.
Oooh I should use a list like this! After a long ass hiatus I decided to play from scratch on the Reboot server! It seems like that's the most popular rn. Which makes sense. I wish I had a server like that when I was playing. There's soooo many classes now I have no idea who to choose. I did like Xenon so I'm going to see what a fully built xenon is like and try the other new characters too.

Even if the class never gets back to it's former glory, I'm sticking with Demon Avenger. Too far in to back out now. Nexon can buff it or nerf it... DA for life.🤘
DA is a cool class. You’re not wrong to simply stick with it. Reminds me of Guts from Berserk

For safety + decent dmg is paladin or dawn warrior better? Seems dawn warrior is far more popular than paladin in these charts

Is beast tamer still so janky and clunky to play with the weird mobbing, restrictions on skill paths and 1 second windup for normal bossing single target skill? If so it double explains the low polarity 😅
Beast tamer is still the only class that I crash fairly consistently on. Apparently they fix the memory leaks, but I still have issues
@@_no_value Aaah that explains a lot. I started out maple recently and made myself a beast tamer, she's sitting at 160 now and by far my favorite but she causes 'regular' screenfreezes while mobbing, occasional some mobs go invisible right before it happens as well so I suspected something was wrong here since it's pretty similar to when you play minecraft and your ram starts filling up and then frees up a bunch of space suddenly.
Hope that gets a fix soon! At least good to know it's on their radar :)
honestly beasttamer isnt bad, people just dont know, rn shes sitting at avg dmg/burst but her support is amazing, she have 4 s and 3 damage reductions to compensate for avg damage too, little bit bugged but a good class to main
Illium mains rise up, hopefully we'll get another buff in the next patch hehe
hope we get a resistance update at some point. They really need attention now.
And cannon master still chilling near, but not quite at the bottom of the list, and didn't move much compared to last time. Then again we didn't really get anything huge in the destiny update so very little reason for anyone to pick the class up then if they weren't already playing it before

Is there any class that's good and has low APM? coz I like playing this game but holly crap it's hell on the hands.
I feel like Mages (not battle mage) usually are less intensive, I've tried thunder breaker and holy molly my wrists, couldnt go above lvl100, im a main lumi btw.
IL Mage is pretty good nowadays
Bucc is the most noob friendly class in the game with the least apm for sure, wind archer, pathfinder and add inn hero there to, bonus that its pronably the best class in the game

As a Lumi main you’re probably quite used to the reflection life, no? I main luminous in the mobile version so I can more or less get the change…

Thunder breaker is the absolutely worst class i've ever played
Everyone needs to stop making Hero look good. We have come a long way. Would love to not be nerfed. BUFF HERO!

I retired from WoW to play FFXIV and after 400 days played in FFXIV I am now retiring from it to play MapleStory. Feels like the game I always wanted but never knew I wanted until I tried it again. I haven't been as excited to play a game in a long time.

People like this always crack me up. I'm here trying to plan 3 different weekly bossing party's and then there's this dude crying it's a solo game
@@primeangel You crack me up because you think your anecdotal experience being a single person in the game is indicative of the reality of the game. You can work to the bone working an easy job and that doesn't mean the job is difficult. In the same vein, you can create boss parties as much as you want and the 95% or more of players will be making the game a solo experience. It's not even an opinion that the game is far more solo player focused, it's been trending that way for more than a decade. Just because you CAN party up and be social doesn't mean the game hasn't become a solo experience. People in general have also just become far more socially anxious and don't like playing with other people. Because of this, the game has trended to better fit to who they think make up the majority of the players (which may or may not be true, I have no idea.)
Point is, you're blatantly wrong and you seem strangely confident about what you've said.
“95% or more of players will be making the game a solo experience” so you admit it is a choice. This can be a social experience if people want it to be so cry me a river.
