The revelation of the last tape was well done. The Paz story was fascinating, leaving me obsessed with finding the photos. I believed that she knew the truth.
The whole talk about Peace Day, it reminds me of that history lesson about celebrating Christmas during the Trench Warfare. What I was taught, soldiers of both sides would halt the fight and celebrate with each other the once the celebration is over, they return to their posts and continue fighting. It's a wierd story, I know. But that's what I was taught.
If I remember correctly in Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes, when Chico saw her tampering with Zeke, she said all she wanted was Three Days for Peace Day. The first 4 Paz's Diary tapes in this game are like if Gálvez/Zadornov and Paz were actually who they said they were and they were living out those three days before the festival.
Paz in PW mentions that she'd been getting close with a few nondescript soldiers during her time with MSF when she had a cold. Between that and the emotional aftermath of her death (the Medic clearly has insane amounts of guilt over not getting the second bomb out), I wonder if Venom was one of the people who knew her a little better than other MSF soldiers.
The doctor did tell Venom there were pieces of other people in him. So maybe Paz is literally in his heart.
