I’m rather surprised to know this got 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes especially with how this fandom can be.
Keep in mind, though, there were less than 10 critics who reviewed it. As of now, it’s 89%, because just 1 critic gave it a rotten score.
Because this movie gets more hype than the 2017 MLP movie despite being rushed.

My theory about the elements of harmony is that they weren’t destroyed in G4. Yes, their physical representations were destroyed, but by then they were no longer needed. I believe that the elements of harmony take physical form when things in the world are out of balance.
The EoH was "destroyed" twice in whole G4. Nightmare Moon destroyed them in beginning.
I totally don't know why Twilight forgot that.
Yep in fact that was stated MORE THAN ONCE in G4 about the EoH that they CHANGE to fit whats NEEDED and are never really GONE nor can they be destroyed

I'm glad this movie was a lot better than I initially believed it would be. The songs are pretty good, the characters are likeable enough and yeah, animation is good though I do like the flash animation of G4 a little more. It's just me.
Yeah I went in at bare minimum expecting to enjoy watching the movie for an hour or two so it exceeded my expectations. I watched with a friend and we spent so much time gushing about the subtle touches to the CG like how light played across their fur and manes.
The flash animation I simply iconic, I don't blame you. I'm so in love with the new visuals tho!! They feel very very unique, and fit perfectly into the og style. The toys are very pretty too.
I’ve seen a lot of theories that Sunny will be able to summon her alicorn wings/horn for various reasons, but what if it’s more like a slider? What if as she learns more about the unicorns/Pegasi/earth pony magic, her wings and horn get more solid, culminating in a fully solid form when she fully understands the three Magics well enough to be able to lead the three tribes like Twilight.
Or maybe its like a super form she summons whenever she and her friends are in trouble
"What does he have, anyway? Sure, he's got a perfect mane, shredded abs, paid off mortgage."
That line had no reason to be as funny as it was.
G5 is off to a great start. Can't wait to see what the series has in store.

the movie was pretty good, the songs were good, some references i did get that was i the movie, and that running gag that was inn the movie as well, and dance dance revolution is now cannon inn G5 now, eat your heart out Josh and Bliss, i do like the mane 5 characters in the film, hitch could represent the element of kindness, Zipp representing the element of loyalty, Pip representing the element of generosity, Izzy representing the element of laughter, and sunny representing the element of magic, overall i look forward to what G5 has more to offer, overall 10/10 Blissy ^_^, also the scene where sunny turning into an alicorn i was like, (New Merchandise!!!!!!), i can't be the only one who thought that ^^
I really don't get people seeing that Zipp was loyalty when she flat out chose the crystal over her sister and mom and her whole deal was hating how they weren't being honest about being able to fly, to the point she worked out flight down to the science.
@@kingasmodeus0 Yeah she’s more like honest to me. I think Pipp could be either Generosity or Loyal(like giving the crystal back to the gang and wanting to still be friends with Sunny even if they couldn’t get the magic back).
Something I don't see people mentioning: Heart to Hoof. A phase we hear from Sunny and her dad, that we hear throughout the movie. And what shape are their hooves? Hearts. And in the end credits scene what is the print of? Hoof hearts. I'm like 75% sure that either that phrase has some serious meaning and was represented in the physical way because it's an earth pony phrase, or there is something to the glowing magic that will link back to things.
Heart to Hoof, for those who are empathic, caring and want to make a, wait for it, connection. And what are the ponies doing and creating now? Connections.
It's also interesting it began with the earth ponies. I wonder how this will tie up with that quote 🤔
Such a fantastic review Blissy 10/10, i absolutely loved the G5 movie the characters were awesome, the songs were catchy and the plot may have been predictable but it was still fun to watch, and it still makes me look forward to the G5 series and speaking of i too am still hoping that Sunny's Alicorn form is temporary and that it'll be a power that she can switch on and off.
And as for the 3 crystals, i still can't shake the feeling that there is more to them like they might be part of something bigger like they could be part of a pyzzle or something but i'm sure Sunny and friends will solve the mystery, especially if Sunny continues her father's research.
In conclusion, while i admit the movie has it's ups and downs like all movies do and that it could've covered more if it were longer, i still really enjoyed it!

When Fluttershy and the Girls passed, Discord was so stricken by grief that he reverted to his old ways. This is the result...chaos by separation.
Honestly, it's mlp, I'm almost positive the mane 6 will appear, whether time travel or some sort of alicorn community where the mane 6 live with twilight (yes I'm taking sawtooth into account)
I hope we never see Discord or his species ever again.

B. he isn't the worst character (just look at mudbraer (odds are he is dead but still))
to expand a few things that make this movie a lot more... nuanced than the usual racism stories
each leader represents different societal pressures sort of
Phyllis - work/businesses, fear
Queen Haven - government/celebrities, ignorance (Pegasi society stays glued to their screens instead of confronting problems)
Alphabittle - religion (superstitions were a clever way to get as close as they could without offending anyone), wallowing in depression

Hitch and Zip were characters I was unsure of from the promotional material but I came away adoring both. They are kind and responsible individuals that also don't mind having fun once in a while. Izzy is still my top favorite due to how cute she is and the fact that the entire plot happened because she took that first step to go out and meet other ponies.
G5 is amazing but i'm still prefer G4 because i'm grown up with it . It's help me relaxing and entertainment a lot ;)
One thing I have is when the series comes out I would love to have more world development in terms of History and cultural diversity not to mention the responses from the other creatures of the world, hell we haven't even seen dragons yet or if they even exist
remeber this is 100s of years in the FUTURE of Equesteria there's little doubt that some racers MAY Have died out

What if Sunny and the gang eventually find Ponyville and Twilights old castle and become the new friendship counsel. Ooooh, maybe there first friendship problem will be helping Sprout overcome his fear and he becomes the final memeber.
Considering we see the Tree of Harmony during the movie, I think they already did find it

FINALLY!!! I found a friend that want sprout as a last member.
1. He's a mirror of kid that has problem personalities mainly because their parents. It's one of a problems that "family" has in present. Some people will think that he's annoying. Yes, that the point. Because of that, It's worth to see him to be better person in the series (if hasbro didn't ruined it)......and......if he's the last member, I will be appreciated. Seriously, I want more stallion in main team.
2. Sprout's voice actor of language that I prefer to watch is SO COOL!!! I love it. One of a reason that I want to see sprout more is his VA.
The theory that the ponies separating caused the loss of magic doesn't really track. Prior to Hearth's Warming the pony tribes were separated and still had their magic.
I blame Cozy Glow...somehow.

Maybe it’s a result of the ruling Alicorn being not only the Element of Magic but also the Princess of Friendship. Could have caused the two to become linked together through the years.

Keep in mind this movie is the introduction to Generation 5, so any questions that the movie brings will most likely be answered in the upcoming Netflix series.

I liked the moment where Zipp showed Izzy and Sunny the abandoned station and we see shots of Twilight's cutie mark and the old poster of the Wonderbolts.
Love the picture on the screen for this, I wonder has Lightning Bliss changed/updated the look of her avatar for a more G5 look? If so, clever, she's the first MLP UA-camr I've so far seen do this :)

I wasn’t going to watch the movie but that changed when it was announced that Sofia Carson was voicing a main character. She’s one of my favorite. Her role as Evie in the Disney descendants series. That the reason it went from a now way to I’ll give it a chance.
I enjoyed the film a great deal; the characters had depth and there was a good synergy between them. I especially liked the fact that Hitch and Sunny grew up as playmates and friends; there is a lot that could be mined from that for story ideas. I hoped Hitch would be the rock of friendship for Sunny and the others to lean on when needed and his character didn't disappoint. Hitch's best line: "I'll be right here if you want to talk, Sunny." The best kind of friend anyone could hope to have: one that listens. The musical numbers were catchy and memorable, the animation and depth of detail astounding (you know this movie is going to spoil us in what to expect/compare against when the series comes out) and the overall feeling is very heartwarming; you're pulling for the Mane 5 all through their adventure together. I don't know if it's quite 'Lightning in a Bottle' as Dr. Wolf described Lauren Faust's G4 MLP in one of his videos, but this is a VERY respectable start. If the intent was to keep the fandom interested and coming back for more, then they succeeded. What they have in mind for the series is beyond me. But then, I'm just guessing....
I loved the movie posters references in g5. I also like how in the sprout song you can see on the tv mlp g3 which is smart since in g3 the earth ponies lived in ponyville the pegasi lived in butterfly island and the unicorns lived in unicornia so all three races didn't live together
Wait, wait! Hear me out. What if the Mane 5 were not related to the Mane 6 at all, but instead, in the series, they will find a unicorn who is actually a blood-descendant of Twilight herself. That would be cool, right?

Thats a good idea, they seek out the only remaining blood relative to see if they know what happened. Or they could even look for spike or discord, they have to have lived a long time right.

they describe twilight and her friends as being in "Ancient Equestria" So what happened to Twilight and her friends? Will they appear in the new series as side characters? Or main characters? Discord seemed to live on for thousands of years and when Discord returned then Celestia and Luna were still alive which means that an alicorn's life span could last possibly forever soooo will Twilight be making an appearance?
If the 3 types of ponies got split up with no magic then who did it? Could it have been someone who had no magic at all and thus they didn't have to worry about themselves in order to destroy Equestria and magic as we knew it and if so then will this villain make an appearance as well?
Maybe Twilight got trapped in limbo like Star Swirl did and is still alive? Sunny could figure this out and try to bring Twilight back?
If Twilight is in limbo then what caused it to happen? Was there some massive enemy that beat the mane 6 so badly that they had no choice but to seal away this enemy and Twilight in order to save Equestria?
This movie raises a lot of questions that are clearly unanswered..
Given that this series is confirmed to take place after Twilight’s reign, a.k.a after the Reign of the _Princess of Friendship_ then what the flying *squee* happened to cause them to break away from each other so badly??? It just leaves bad taste in my mouth this happened after the series whose whole plotline was “Friendship is Magic” 😓😓😓

I really want to see some of the ancient Equestrian artifacts from Argyle's collection come into play as the story goes on. They could have virtually anything tucked away in there, but we SAW right out in the open Grogar's Bewitching Bell on top of a stack of books under the framed map of Equestria. Now that could make for some big problems if someone figures out how to use it now that the magic is back.
My (current) headcannon for the magic stones is that, towards the end of Twilight's reign there were already seeds of discord among the ponies, if they hadn't straight up split yet, and that she used her powers to seal magic away within the stones in such a way that only someone who could unite the pony tribes again would be able to break this seal.
Hey, @LightningBliss I have a theory. Between the end of FIM. and A, New Generation Grogar returned. He released the 3 villains from stone and stole everyone's magic. So to keep everyone safe the 3 tribes Isolated each other. But when he was defeated the magic was gone for so long that by the time that the events of A New Generation happened the magic is slowly returning to Equestria. and I might expand this idea with my book on Wattpad called Grogar Returns.
I like that, but I'd swap it around. What if Twilight & friends separated magic into the three crystals and gave them to trusted allies to prevent magic from being removed forever. But overtime everyone forgot what happened to magic & what was done to preserve it.
yeah but if that were true where are the 3 villains I'm still thinking that they dealt with them before the events of A New Generation.
I agree with your concept, that Twi' created the "pony crystals" to focus the magic of the different races. I imagine that originally everypony just assumed having the crystals would keep the magic alive no matter what, meanwhile forgetting the true source of it. Taking the magic for granted, they might've grown apart, forgetting how much the races (tribes?) need each other, causing their magic to slowly fade from then on. One thing I'm hoping for from the new series is a gradual exploration and reveal of what really happened during the time leading up to G5! As well as a variety of adventures as the Mane 5 discover what went wrong and help other ponies to learn how to keep the magic alive!

I love this movie so much! Just like with the g4 movie, I watched it with my friend DragonLily and we had an absolute blast! We can’t wait for more! Also all the casting I adore! It’s fantastic. The music is great, I just wish there was more!
I've said this before in a precursor video of MLP: The Movie, their was tragic segregation and sentimental expositions between of the 3 distinctive pony breeds.
And hypothetically, there was never any prime antagonist, showcased in the film to actually commence, but very likely, they were merely oversimplified ponies by false lore, logic, and propaganda, despite there briefly being emotional scenarios with there apparently being less character development that ensued, and how there was basic and kind of tedious foreshadowing.
But overall, the film was stupendous for such a phenomenal masterpiece, breathtaking scenarios, harmonious music, story and character arcs, immensely textured depictions and landscapes too.
And also I'm the optimistic, the dignified, the charismatic, Rowan Knighthood, such an esteemed pleasure to meet you Lightning Bliss which I love your hypothetical speculations and very deep notions, very amusing and captivating, from which I'm both motivated and inspired by U deeply.
Honestly I’m thinking there’s a good chance that there was some villain responsible for the loss of magic, it’s just that getting rid of the magic and dividing the races was the main plan. It’s just that the crystals restored that magic when they sensed the magic of friendship. As for whatever happened to the villain, I’m guessing they either are doing something somewhere else, or they were partially foiled via being imprisoned or something but after the damage had been done.
Could be an invading force trying to divide the races to weaken equestria and the lands beyond for an inevitable invasion to conquer it. Maybe they don't even rely on equestrian magic to do what they do and instead have their own sources of magic. Demons perhaps?

Songs taking up time from character development? The songs WERE the character development! That's the whole point of a musical, to move the plot along quicker than real-time.

one thing I've not seen too much commentary on us Queen Haven pushing Alphabittle out of Sprout's way, then covering the small creatures (mice?) with her wing. That is really a great character moment for her.

Three races. Three crystals. I saw it coming a mile away too.
Just because Earth ponies didn't have a unique appendage didn't mean they never possessed magic. Super strength, botanokinesis, the sixth sense, and the sort. If only Argyles research could have hinted at that.
I am personally really excited for the series, so many questions and some fantastic fan theories for what happened between the tribes. Personally what I think is, that something really really bad happened where Twilight (Yes I believe she might have caused it, will get back to that) set of a giant spell which made everyone ''forget about each other'' like Zipp said in a scene: It is like everypony just forgot. Now back to Twilight why I think she did it, something happened where she saw no other way and seeing as she was an alicorn made her qualified to actually set of a spell like that. No one else would have been able to from just the sheer amount of magic needed and I think she is actually still around. Her becoming an alicorn might have prolonged her life to what an normal Alicorn like Celestia and Luna would live. And the reason for this is in the old building in Zephyr heights where Zipp showed them the windows. One the windows had Twilights mark on it, two the building does not look that old at all, seeing how the design is close to what Zephyr heights is and the posters of the different pony cities and wonderbolts being there. That place could be max 100 years old and that is the Absolute max. So Twilight might actually be around still, lingering or sleeping or trying to figure out how to fix whatever that would force her to do this. But that is just my personal theory
Oh yeah and the crystals, might have been made by Twilight too or someone other really powerful as a backup to bring magic back and friendship if Twilight failed in whatever caused this.

I can't pinpoint just one thing I loved about this movie... Im sorry the characters didn't get more development... And I can't wait to see the return of the MLP fandom!! I miss it so much... Even if Its never the same, it would be nice
I'll agree that the biggest thing the movie did for me is get me excited for the series. I have so many questions about the world & lore and I really want to see these characters interact more.
The idea that the ponies have to be united for any magic to exist is proven false by the time of the three tribes. They may not have been united, but they still had magic. There had to have been something more. Maybe another magic eating threat that forced them to lock away magic, but it persisted for long enough that the tribes had time to separate again.
I'm more interested where their technology has come from, since we see that they're just three modestly sized towns. Equestria was big, it had the infrastructure to support a spohisticated civillisation. Three cities, each left to it's own resources does not have the land, materials, or ponies to support an industrial civillisation in each. Even all three together would seem to be too small a resource base for smartphone technology, absent magic, which we know they don't have.
This movie was the start so it’s good that it was short and quick so the show can potentially dive deeper
Oh i loved the movie, though it could have been a little darker :).
I honestly, can picture Sunny's dad's death, being at the factory... him visiting to demand changes, trying to convince phyllis to stop and... something goes wrong and he's killed when something breaks and falls on him. phyllis then bans his daughter from the factory, so she can't step a foot in there and risk getting hurt... even though his death was an accident she holds the guilt of it...
then with her fixing the picture at the end... it being her putting the past behind her, and putting her trust in Sunny. Putting her belief in Sunny, because she couldn't believe sunny's dad.
now of course thats way way to dark a story arc for ponies :)
Maybe the cataclysm that drove pony kind apart was a rouge alicorn who(like Luna ages ago) got sick of not getting attention and messed up the mystic natural order of things.
I laughed so many times in this video not just from the movie’s moments but by the small bits of comedy in-between the views. Especially the transformers one, I wasn’t prepared for it and it made me laugh so hard.
I also have a question about Sunny being a temporary or even permanent Alicorn with the princess being completely gone would she be considered a princess or not? And if so what would she be the princess of?

A lot of people have been wondering if Zephyr Heights is actually built from or on top of the old city of Canterlot, but I don’t think it is. We see in Sunny’s map that all three locations in the movie are located near a large body of water (likely a sea or ocean), but generation 4 never showed Canterlot or the nearby Ponyville being near some kind of massive water body. Plus, we see a map of Canterlot and Ponyville in the background of the lighthouse at the beginning of the movie, and no major body of water is depicted on that map. Zephyr Heights isn’t Canterlot, and that means that we’ll almost certainly be seeing Canterlot again at some point in the g5 future.
Maybe, but it's also been an indeterminant amount of time during which the landscape could have changed, especially if there was some kind of magical catastrophe involved in whatever drove the races apart.
Someone over on derpybooru did a pretty good edit of the old G4 map to make it look like the new G5 map by turning it 180 degrees and adding some flooding.
Global warming, perhaps? That's also why there's no winter in G5.
I loved the part where Izzy was being like Pinkie Pie with her rap. It was epic. I hope we see more of that.
I loved Izzy's energy. Songs were fun, but on balance leaned a bit to pop for my tastes.
One does wonder how much of G4 events are actual history to G5 and how much is baseless myth.
I really liked the movie, and it has me feeling optimistic for the upcoming series.

My coworkers and I love the “jinxies” scene so much that we can’t help but “Bing-Bong,” every times someone says “ mayonnaise” @ work. I do hope that series will address Spouts actions and make his “redemption arc” long enough that it can be believable.
On the topic of leaving questions,, I am just reminded of cinematic universe movies, like Dark Universe's The Mummy, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, etc. Honestly, good on it for not overstuffing it
Theory:
Maybe magic being gone was a curse created by someone.
To probably keep friendship going they had the curse where if all three races were no longer in relations with each other magic would be gone.
Either it didn’t go as it intended where it slowly happened in the end or else someone did cause the separations of them all.
Something like that.

This was a really good movie and I especially loved the whole thing with mayonnaise as some sorta bad word to unicorns. When I heard that I predicted someone would put together that clip with Patrick stars iconic line from the legendary spongebob episode, band geeks, that being “is mayonnaise an instrument” and they did and I laughed for 5 minutes straight. I do wish the villain could have been someone wanting the same thing that sunny wanted (uniting all the tribes) but by force and sunny showing said villain people need to do that themselves but sprout was still a funny antagonist and his song, angry mob, felt like a combination of blame Canada from the South Park movie and when the going gets tough from the spongebob musical but more rock n roll (obviously) I really love friendship between sunny and Izzy as they set out to restore the magic and especially when Izzy realizes sunny and her father were the ones who sent the letter she got. The music was real beautiful and while the plot was predictable it was still fun.
I like your theory about why the three pony races separated. It would be funny if the villains "played themselves" with their plan to seperate everypony
I just watched it yesterday and I thought it was really good. My favorite characters are Sunny and Izzy. I look forward to seeing what’s next.
Izzy was the funniest character in the movie. Her personality reminds me of Pinkie
I really enjoyed the movie. It had humor, emotional moments and I like the storyline. I too feel like I have more questions after the movie than I did before watching it. Looking back, keeping us questioning was something G4 did as well in between seasons and that kept our curiosity alive and kept us desiring more MLP. I do wish Pipp was given a little more screentime and dialogue however but other than that, I love the movie, the characters and the story. Great way to begin G5 and looking forward to the series. :)
well, I'm not actually a brony myself, but I was a bit surprised they were able to work what was basically a mech into the story.
I find it interesting that all of the unicorn magic that was once taught in school, all of the books that taught spells are all gone. They'll have to start from scratch. I'm hoping we'll see clever unicorns like Starswirl start to create "new" spells
On top of that, pegasai have no clue how to regulate the weather, make lightning. They might not even know they can walk on clouds now! So it'll be so cool to see them explore all of these new found abilities

Considering the Terminator 2 reference, I think it may have been foreshadowing. Because the character you see on the billboard is the Arnold analog (I think it's the Model 101 or something like that). And in the second movie, he's the good guy. So that billboard was more or less foreshadowing that, at the very least, Unicorns would become good guys.
my theory is that twilight and the gang made the crystals to keep villains from stealing magic the way the the 3 previous villains did. Losing magic to keep em safe was probably a price they were willing to pay and thought it returned after the big bad was gone but didn't live to see it through

I luv the idea of sunny being the next daring do. Going on adventures to fine clues as to why the magic was lost, why the lighthouse and finally why the gems exist, Ect. As well as Izzy looking into the unicorns past and zipp fining out more about the Pegasus. From her little hideout. Clues that help put together the entire puzzle mystery of the past. Throughout the whole movie I liked how the new mane five acted like the mane six. With Sunny acting like Twilight, Hitch acting like Fluttershy cause of the animals not leaving him alone, Zipp being like Rainbow Dash, Pipp being Rarity, and Izzy being the fourth wall breaker we all know and love being Pinkie. However the only part of Hitch that I didn't like was how he he was about to end his friendship with Sunny because she believed that Earth ponies, unicorns, and pagesis all once lived together in peace and harmony. As someone who had been backstabbed, betrayed, and abandoned by ex-friends in the past that scene hit pretty hard to home for me. Throughout the whole movie until towards the end the only thing Hitch cared about was arresting Sunny.
The movie is okay, despite reusing the same racism plot again. It's still an improvement that they give earth ponies technology to use.
Zootopia used that too but no one seems to mind? XD

I began questioning why the pony races hated each other too…but in a way…I have been gathering a small and reasonable theory onto why they do.
With twilight becoming the princess of friendship, I’ve always felt that when they used the map to spread said friendship…over the many many moons…ponies became dependent on the 6 to spread the friendship for them they became so dependent that they were the reason as to why the different pony races and creature race stayed in harmony for as long as they did as those 6 solved literally e v e r y problem in friendship FOR them, never giving the causers of the disputes time to figure out how to solve their own friendship problems….once the 6 passed on and finished their stories….more and more friendship problems began rising, through grieving and other various reasons that can …and with that it just caused more and more problems, and with the 6 not there they were unsolvable as ponies were not taught how to solve the problems themselves, and with them not around to take the calls from the map, or the map loosing its magic when they passed….more and more friendships divided and problems were unsolvable and that eventually leading tribes to Separate
I CAN WAAAIIT FOR THE SERIEEEEES!!! I know that te movie don't ask many things of lore, but, as an introduction, or a prologue, It actually works! to present the character's, the principal locations, the questions of the world (for ironic that it sounds) iven the "tools" that they will need to explore more and go out of the bubble that they have been for..who know how many times!
I can only say, I can wait to "fit right in" this new world awe.

I enjoyed it but like Fire Brand I too had some problems with it. (Still love how he looks like sprout. Cannot unsee it.)
One of the things I disliked was the fact Sunny turned in to an alicorn. It was so blindingly obvious with the 4 shadowing being as subtle as a sledge hammer. Called it only 20 minutes in the movie.
I was also very underwhelmed at the end as everything was rushed to the point it just felt empty. It was building up nicely but after the unicorn forest, I didn't like it.
So when they do release the actual series I would like to see how they fill in the giant gaping plot holes and show character growth. Especially for Sprout. Seriously, boy needs to grow up. I would love to see a day with Pip is away from her cellphone :D
My favourite tiny moment in the movie was, when they first entered izzy’s home, and sunny played the little music box that Izzy made. I could listen to this for days on ends
The theory is that Sunny will be able to use that power Alicorn transformation at will. I heard that mayonnaise and unicorn is something related to Robot chicken? I think.

I hope they answere the glaring questions of how we got from G4 to G5, but I want to see these characters develop more.

Your question about younger unicorns not being sure how to use their magic could still be valid. Levitation is confirmed as the bare basics, so them being able to figure that one out while still learning other spells and uses of such could still be on the table. Same with Pegasai figuring out if and how they can command or alter elements of the weather in a world that apparently does it on its own.
Additionally, this new world seems to be running on a natural cycle as its not mentioned if there is still a need for night and day to be raised and set by magic, which falls into my theory that Discord’s disruption of nature through chaos magic set things out of whack so much that ponykind needed to use their magic to keep it from going out of control to the point of not having a place to live, until finally the chaos magic became wild magic became this world’s version of nature. The ponies learning how their magic works in this world that has gone on without their help during their time without magic will also be interesting to see.
From the description alone of how apparently the pony races being seperate deletes magic from the world that really contradicts the season it is supposed to be a sequel to specifically because dark magic is a thing and that type of magic uses hatred and that is not even mentioning how the hell the sun and moon are still moving when there is no magic as they required Celestia\ Celestia and Luna or Twilight to move them using magic
So the mane six are legends with a toy line, but this must be far enough in the future for all of the canon alicorns to have died. We know that alicorns can live for well over 1000 years; so even if we assume that Celestia and Luna died or just stopped caring, we still have Twilight, Cadence and Flurry.
Even if we assume they all died, the question remains: what happened to Discord? He reformed and would have taken some of the friendship stuff to heart, so what happened to this literal immortal?
Did Discord get depressed and even more unhinged after Fluttershy died? So much so that he would just kill the alicorns and factory reset Equestria.
