How do you decide when to set the hook with them wild shiners, is there a sweet spot you've learned to time it right when you set the hook or is it a trial and error kinda thing, I'm no rookie but can always learn a better way...your the man

Take up the slack in the line and use your rod tip to find the bass! When he makes the first surge set the hook!

I buy them most of the time, but sometimes I catch my own. I buy mine at Advantage Sports in Salt Springs.
Those hog body's are reel hongry after spawning CC....You certainly can't beat the scenery!!😎🎣
