It would have been more were it not for a few things. One, uneven bars. Hers were always just too weak- and cost her AA medals. Two, untimely errors. In 2004 through the games she consistently had similar errors on certain dance elements… in a system that was hugely focused on them. They kept her out of a potential AA medal and floor final entirely. In 2008 the error on balance beam lowered her start value just enough to take her out of contention for bronze. Would she have repeated bronze in vault if the second one had counted? Don’t really know, it would have been close. At least she does have those three medals though.
The unfortunate thing for her was bars- she just wasn’t ever quite strong enough in that event. If she had been just a little bit, she likely would have earned bronze. By 2008 there was no way- not with how much bars were a focus.
@@saragrant9749 Yeah that's the thing. I was just wondering if she could've made the podium with a cleaner vault performance, even with her weakness in bars. She definitely got the short end of the stick in 08 tho, unbalanced code
@@sktzn6829true. Every code seems to have its good and bad, but that one was just screwball. The big difference in the 2004 AA was that second step on the vault- it was the one difference maker.
Aun así ella pudo hacerlo muy bien después del robo de medalla en el AA salió adelante y aunque gano el bronce en final de salto también le robaron la medalla en la final de viga Aunque fue excelente competidora siempre hubo boicot contra ella
She stole medals from HERSELF. In beam final she had a good routine but there were little errors- more so than the top three. In AA she had the same thing- little errors that cost in score. In the open ended system she likely would have gotten more medals, especially in Athens.
@@saragrant9749hmm in the all around she had no errors like the top three, she should’ve gotten silver over Khorkina, Zhang Nan floor and bars were disgusting
A bronze in the All around would've been nice but she took the bronze here so gracefully and classy.
What’s so unfortunate is she might have repeated in Beijing, were it not for the mistake on vault number two.
I love this girl so much.
So incredibly sad and unfortunate this was the only individual World/Olympic medal of her career.

Grande la rusa Ana Pavlova..🇲🇽🕊🌷
Anna was a class act, she should have got more medals.
And would have without untimely mistakes and/or lack of start value on bars.
Anna Pavlova is the most beautiful woman on the planet.Right after Ana Maria Tamirjan.
I wonder if she would've taken bronze in the AA had she tried the Half-on half-off instead of DTY
If she'd gotten the same score she did here, she would have.
