I studied German in highschool 20 years ago and I married a lady who was a German immigrant and she litterally only learned English in school and her parents were German. I have studied German for 20 years and m neighbor Is from Hamburg and she says the same thing that my in-laws said, that both myself and my wife "Sound SO American" when speaking German. Is there any way to adopt the German accent of any area of Germany that one might mimic?
