The last book in the Ember Quartet will BREAK YOU. Sabaa does not hold back. I found your channel from Emmy and I’m binging all your videos because they’re so addicting.🤭
Rain of shadows and endings has been my first five star read of 2025, so excited to continue the legacy series! And infinite thanks for recommending it to us ❤
An ember in the Ashes is one of my all time favorite firts books ever. I have reread it soo many times. I love it! The second book in the Witch collector series was just incredible.
You have me so excited for Tempest of Wrath and Vegeance! I just finished Lady of Starfire 2 days ago. I thought I'd jump into a different series after but I went ahead and decided to start Rain of Shadow and Endings, and omg, I loved it. I read the whole book yesterday. I started book 2 this morning
I’m about to start the last book in the ember in the ashes series! Such a wonderful and well written series. I’m excited to read her new book Heir as well!
Have you read the Witchlands series by Susan Dennard? It’s so good if you love ember in the ashes!!! First book is Truthwitch…. And the final book is coming this year
🐉 I have Heir, but I heard that I should read The Ember in the Ashes first, is that true? After watching this vlog, guess what? I ordered the full Lady of Darkness and Legacy series 😋 I also need to buy new bookshelves haha! Oh yeah, and this afternoon, I was at Waterstone and I purchased Heavenly Bodies. It's getting hard to keep up 🤣 Fantastiv vlog, Rachel! Happy you are starting January strong 🔥🐉
What do you do with the books that you don’t enjoy? And do you have other book storage dotted around your house? I feel like you probably have more books than in the shelves behind you when you film and I’d love to see them 😋😂
A Study in Drowning was disappointing for me as well - was really looking forward to it only to ultimately DNF it. On the other hand, after hearing all the praise for the Legacy series these past few months I acquired the beautiful edition of Rain of Shadows and Endings from the Unplugged book box, and have been enjoying it immensely - even if, as Emmy Rosam said, Theon makes me want to stick my head in a blender at times 😅 🐉
I've came across throughout the years with An ember in the ashes many times but it didn't catch my attention until you started talking about it and i think this is what i needed to pick it up. Also I'm exited to read Heavenly bodies, now that is traditionally publish i hope it gets an spanish edition soon, same with Rain of shadows and endings 🐉🐉🐉
I have just finished a study of drowning and I liked it, there were moments that I LOVED (Preston 🛐) but also there were moments that were a little slow and repeating. Overall, I had a good time, but it had more potential
I’m reading FBAA and I’ve been scouring your shelves looking for anything JLA. I’m obsessed with this world and these characters. 😍 🐉 Bestie- you need to read these series!
I'm one of the people who sadly didn't enjoy Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes... To be fair, my preference is physical reads (usually have 1-3 of those going at a time), but I always listen ta different audiobook while on my daily 3 mile+ walks... BoS&S was my audio at the time .. perhaps it would have been better to physically read it. I kept spacing out and/or missing stuff so I replayed several chapters a few times each.. I was still either confused or bored and didn't care about the characters or what was happening. Finally relieved myself of it and DNFd halfway through. For technical reasons I couldn't listen to it from the library and was kinda mad I wasted an audible credit on it. Eh oh well.. unhauled my physical copy and won't be reading the new prequel coming out this year. I'll just stick with the amazing original trilogy. 😊
Agree on the Embers comments. You're in for a good time! I'm trying to get to the legacy series so bad LOD Book 4 arriving today. And I need to defend Witch Collector......to avoid ruining anything you NEED to get to City of Ruin..... please?!? You may change your opinion on the romance. 🐉
@ravenhairedreader kk I promise it will be worth it and...that's all I can say. I keep stalking release dates for this series .....dying for the next book.
If there’s one book I think everyone should read this year, it’s keezano’s Your Life Your Game. It beautifully shows how connecting with God and building meaningful relationships can lead to spiritual growth, and success in both your personal and professional life. This book truly changed my life…a must-read👌🏽

🐉 Your joy of reading is contagious & uplifting.
thank you so much!
Anyway you could start letting us know how spicy books are. I don’t love constant spice so hard to tell what fantasy romance to pick up

Rage of dragons is so good, excited to see if you like it
An ember in the ashes is the most stressful and unpredictable series I have ever read!
I still need to read an ember in the ashes- this has made me bump it up the TBR asap!
Have you read the Witchlands series by Susan Dennard? It’s so good if you love ember in the ashes!!! First book is Truthwitch…. And the final book is coming this year
I randomly picked up and binged the ember in ashes series last month - and it was such an intensely fun time!
Love your videos Rachel ❤️

Be sure to read Fall of Ruin and Wrath before the newest FBAA book Primal of Blood and Bone 😉
@@Kesy03Thanks I definitely will! I’m doing the publication order.
@jackielowrey3032 then you'll be fine! Fall of Ruin and Wrath is a separate series, but the series will tie together
Ohhh I'm gonna save Tempest of Wrath for August thanks for the heads up! 🐲🐲🐲🐉
🐉🐉 what a great start to 2025! I need to start book 3 of the lady of darkness series. You now have me anxious to get to the legacy series!
I thought I would LOVE Study in Drowning and could not get into it. So you are not the only one.
yea i was excited about a study in drowning at first too but then it just became so boring for me as well, lol.
The way I RAN to this video.
Yeah…reading Ember for the first time changed my brain chemistry. Just wait until the rest of the books! 😂
bestie im scared haha
@ it’ll be okay! Just have a strong beverage with you when you continue! 😂
Yay so excited 🎉❤

You can also skip 4 books a year with fairyloot so I use autumn book reads and skip the ones I’m less interested
I’ve been putting off tempest but you may have pushed me over the edge 😭😭
I need your thoughts ASAP AARON

100% going to pick up city of ruin! i’m excited for it 🥰

Can you tell me if there is why choose/reverse harem trope in Rain of Shadows and endings? I hate this trope
the romance is MFM
Same! I don’t like that trope either and way I DNF the second book because it seemed like it was geared towards that😅
