This year, harvesting kohlrabi has been quite challenging. The heavy rains and hail have severely affected the garden. Particularly problematic were the numerous snails that appeared in masses and nearly devoured the leaves of the kohlrabi plants completely.
Despite these adverse conditions, kohlrabi is an extremely healthy vegetable. It contains many vitamins and nutrients that are important for our diet. In our kitchen, kohlrabi has proven to be an excellent substitute for papaya, especially when we cook chicken tinola. The crunchy texture and mild flavor of kohlrabi perfectly complement this dish and contribute to its nutritional variety.
Even though this year was difficult due to the weather and snails, kohlrabi remains a valuable vegetable in our garden. With a little care and patience, we hope to achieve good harvests in the future as well.
Ngayong taon, mahirap ang pag-aani ng kohlrabi. Ang malalakas na ulan at yelo ay matinding nakaapekto sa hardin. Partikular na problema ang napakaraming mga suso na kumain ng mga dahon ng kohlrabi.
Sa kabila ng mga pagsubok na ito, ang kohlrabi ay isang napakahealthy na gulay. Mayaman ito sa bitamina at iba pang sustansya. Sa aming kusina, ginagamit namin ang kohlrabi bilang pamalit sa papaya, lalo na kapag nagluluto ng chicken tinola. Ang malutong na texture at banayad na lasa ng kohlrabi ay mahusay na pamalit at nagdaragdag ng sustansya sa ulam.
Kahit mahirap ang taon na ito dahil sa panahon at mga peste, ang kohlrabi ay nananatiling mahalagang gulay sa aming hardin. Sa tamang pag-aalaga at pasensya, umaasa kaming makakakuha pa rin ng magagandang ani sa hinaharap.

Oh im jelaous , i wish i have a green thumb . You have a nice garden . I have not tried kohlrabi . Sometimes i use sayote or squash in my tinola.

Thanks! I'm really pleased with this year's eggplant harvest. For me, the key has been lots of sunlight, well-draining soil, and regular feeding with a good fertilizer. Hope these tips help you with your eggplants too!
