History of the Air Jordan Jumpman Logo

History of the Jumpman and Wings logos from Jordan Brand. Michael Jordan's impact on the clothing and apparel line as well as the sneaker and shoe culture. The original picture was not featured on the Jordan 1s or the Jordan 2s designed by Peter Moore. But for the Air Jordan 3s, designed by Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, a silhouette of the jumpman was placed on the shoe's tongue. Logos commonly featured on ESPN's The Last Dance documentary.

Looking at the "Jumpman" I knew that this "likeness" was not from an authentic dunk situation. I don't watch a lot of the game, but I do know the leg positioning when they're dunking. Their legs aren't splayed that far apart.
