There are very specific guidelines that all manufactures provide for break-in in your owners manual. Specifically they all recommend modest loads at modest speeds, with varying rpm. Most bikes take longer than 500-miles to fully break them in. Gradually increase loads and speed during that portion. Break-in accomplishes specific bedding-in of key components (i.e. piston rings, bearings, gears, etc.) and is not a process you can do whatever way you want in order to do it right. Deviate from their recommendations at your peril.
