B420LD Episode 17 - 1964 SUZUKI K11 BRAKES

In this episode, I need to check out the brakes. The front wheel is locking up pretty badly and is not safe right now. I need to correct this before I can do anymore tests. So while at it, I check out both the front and rear. Since it looks like this bike had not seen much maintenance over the years, it is time to do a complete go over anyway.

Do you know where I can find the cargo rack that you have on it or are you willing to sell yours? I’ve read all over the parts manual got part numbers but every specialty website shows out of stock and Suzuki dealership says no dealer in the USA has that part anymore, though I did find some other parts I needed for it from that dealer.

Wow. I suppose accessories like the cargo rack would be indeed hard to find since it is a challenge finding common parts for this bike. I can't say I have seen any cargo racks in my search for other parts. I suppose, if you got an accurate set of photos with dimensions, a rack could be fabricated. Since eventually this bike will go through a complete restoration, I was not contemplating selling any of the pieces. Just one chance if you are lucky, perhaps the dealer that sold my bike may still have some old stock My bike was sold by Brown's Suzuki in Toronto, Ontario. I see that there is a Brown's Sport and Cycle on Facebook and some of the vintage photos show what appears to be a K11 in the showroom window. They are now focused on bicycles and athletic gear.
