- Become unkillable with this handy guide to not caring about anything with the WILDLING
Detailed class guide and gameplay for Brotato 1.0 on max difficulty, including the unique mechanics, best build, and tips for this class. This run features very poor dodging!
I feel like this is one of the hardest char in D5 but you made it easy. Thanks for your guide
6 Slingshots + 2 scared sausage + 2 snakes got me a danger 5 win first try with wildling. Hordes just melted, and i even managed to kill all the elites. I believe it was the easiest d5 win i got, but maybe i just got lucky in the shop. Anyway i thoroughly enjoy your guides, you have a very soothing voice, keep up the good work!
Nice! Elemental damage is an interesting take for sure. Thanks for the kind words!
I was doing this but got 0 sausages, insane shops overall but wasnt enough to keep me alive at wave 20 with no burn synergy
Your ability to instantly analyze the loot according to your situation and articulate in real time is actually amazing.
Hey Cephalopocalypse, thank you for the guides! I found you with the one armed guide (cuz i had such a hard time winning with him) and I've been watching your guides every now and then since. They're really informative and your theory-crafting is really fun to listen to, so thanks again for making them!
Thanks so much! Glad they help and I really appreciate the kind words! :D
I play brotato, cracked out on coffee of course. Good content, I listen whilst playing often
Awesome, glad you're enjoying it!
Two ideas:
1) Like you mentioned, doing wave-by-wave breakdowns of expected enemies, stat goals, etc would be really helpful.
2) if you want a real challenge, do an Unlock Map. Route out the general order you want to aim to do things to open up all the characters and items
Great ideas!
I like your explanations about how to calculate the benefit of armor, how dodge stacks with itself, etc.
Content ideas:
1)You can try some fun/challenge runs, for example old man and screwdrivers or trying to complete a run with only 12 level 1 electric knife with the multitasker or trying to reach the highest armor possible with the streamer
2)Endless with different characters (even bad ones)
3)And I think what opens you more options, modding but there are a lot of channels that already do, so I don't know
I really enjoy your contents and the way you put a lot of effort into it.
I hope this can help you.
Thanks so much, great ideas and I really appreciate you sharing them! :D
I’m definitely a tea person. Currently under 1-2 ft of snow so hot chocolate and cider are close second tho!
I’m more of a cold drink guy! Hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows is pretty good though! :)
An excellent choice and a classic for a reason
Love your work. Wondering if You've ever heard of Crimsonland...
Thanks! Yes, I put way too many hours into that back in the day, though I haven't tried out the recent remake yet
favorite warm beverage: hot coke
I haven't had that! Is that common where you're from?
@@Cephalopocalypse no it was just a joke
@@minhhapham1887 If you had doubled down and said it was super common you might have been able to get me to try it!
thanks for your help i was struggling a lot with this one
Awesome, glad it helped!
I once heard some brotato youtuber say that math is for nerds yet here we are at 14:10
uh oh nerd alert we better go beat him up
I'm pretty partial to "apparently untouched 2 liter of mountain dew laying on the interstate"
Oh wow I wondered where that went!
In addition to the wave tier list, you could also do a list of which combination of elites and mob waves are best for each character (2 mobs, 1 elite, 3 elites, etc).
I like that idea but think it would probably be a short video since almost all characters just want 3 hordes :P
I would like to suggest a game you can check out: Into the breach. It's a turn based strategy, easy to learn, hard to master. Very satisfying, engaging and addictive.
Yep, soda left out in the sun is my go to warm beverage... XD
I loved FTL (actually the first game I ever streamed on twitch back when I had a twitch channel) and enjoyed Into the Breach but it ends up slightly too far on the puzzle end of the spectrum from puzzle game to tactics game for me. I do keep meaning to go back to it because I know they've added a lot. Also eagerly awaiting whatever Subset Games do next, I hope we get more news on it soon!
Into the Breach and Brotato are the two reasons why my Switch Lite is absolutely essential.
Best game ever made.
Interestingly, I went Cacticlubs with Sausage and snakes. Worked out very well. Just scaled %dmg and elemental damage. Works nicely because of all the projectiles causing fire.
I don’t think anybody has suggested this but maybe make videos on the easiest way to unlock danger 1-5 and some of the harder unlock conditions, like I’ve had trouble w the beating an elite under 15 secs one
Good idea! I think that one is probably easiest with a crit build of some kind, maybe knives. I forget how I did it the first time around!
Takk!
Hey, thanks so much for the support! I really appreciate it :D
@@Cephalopocalypse NP! Takes time to make good shit! I Even listing while i go too sleep sometimes! Keep it up :)
Had 6 slingshots with 4 scared sausages. Also scaled attack speed so even with the negative range I ended up with there was so many pebbles bouncing around that the board was clearing itself damn near.
Cafe person, maybe one Coca, the years and too many beers 🍻
I noticed you were negative regarding Peacock for lvl 9, but I always lock it if I get it earlier to be able to use it for the farming on 9, even on bad builds I've noticed I usually get at least 3 levels relatively safely as the only real danger is the chargers if you have _some_ clear.
I've also noticed you hardly ever take Cute Monkey, while still talking about consumable healing being a big healer for your characters. Wouldn't monkeys be a neat extra way of safeguarding your health?
Total coffee-guy by the way, perhaps beer or wine if it's the weekend (And not morning).
Yeah, peacock is an item I have gone back and forth on! I took it quite aggressively for a while, then had a couple deaths because of it and got gunshy, and more recently have gone back to taking it more often. Wave 9 is a good candidate if your damage is good, for sure!
Could you do a video sometime on your brotato math? I'm very curious, for example, how you came up with 1 armor being worth 6.66...% effective HP and how you know it scales linearly (despite the damage reduction from armor not scaling linearly)
Love your content! Helps aaaaaaalot!
Thanks so much! Glad it's helping, and appreciate the kind words :D
Thats when I saw her face, not a doubt in my mind
*Shrek Intro Plays*
Loved the video
Thanks so much! :D
Could you do some videos on how to use some of the underused weapons? Danger five Laser Gun/Jousting Lance/Claw/hatchet runs could be fun.
Great idea! I can definitely do that
20:00 The wave most likely to kill me is the next one, always.
Wise words!
Well since you don't have a vid on Glutton I'll just place it here, finally got glutton done got sick of trying to make pruning work so I went with the explosive gun I did eventally pick up a couple of pruners, And would you guess it I got fairy! Starting to wonder if I can win without that item.
Oh nice, congrats! And don't worry, glutton coming soon :)
I'd say that I'm a coffee person but I do like tea and hot chocolate from time to time. On a side note it would be fun to see a run where you don't win. Maybe analyze what led to the loss whether it was bad rng or just a misplay on your part
A breakdown of the issues is a good idea! I did post one loss, I think with Soldier, but it didn't do too well in terms of views unfortunately. I found that back in my League days too, I would get a lot of comments asking for lost games but the ones I posted did very poorly
Coffee all the way!
The issue I have with Wildling is that the character design is pushing you towards spending your materials on other forms of scaling, but weapons continue to clog up your shop slots and make it much more difficult to actually find those items. Its really annoying to get 6 level 2 sticks by wave 9ish and then continue to see sticks for sale in shops for the next 10 waves.
I find myself wasting more materials rerolling shops on wildling than any other potato.
I kind of agree - other character with equipment restrictions can't see those items in the shop at all (ie ranger will never roll melee weapons) so I wonder if something like that could be done for wildling
🔥🔥🔥
Modded characters would be great
Definitely on the way!
who in their right mind likes soda that's been out on the sun lmao (I'm a tea person)
Hey, why are you skipping piggy bank ? The item pays for itself very quickly even if you're not trying to make the most of it. If you do by keeping materials on easy waves, it becomes insane.
I should probably take it more often, especially when it's offered in a crate. In my experience when bought it usually takes several waves to pay back the investment, or ties up a lot of your money which is a pretty severe penalty. You need to keep mats set aside for five waves to break even on not spending them - and since prices increase, just saving them for one wave to get a small boost often costs you money anyways
@@Cephalopocalypse you're absolutly right, that's why I see it as a "snowball" item. Once you get head of the damage curve and are one shotting basic ennemies while having comfortable defence, it's not gonna matter that much if you gain a little extra damage since they're gonna be "wasted" in overkill so you can as well make some money to be even more powerful later.
Comment. Lol just for the ❤
Nah mate, fuck damage, it's not worth it, go for melee damage, luck, dodge & speed and you have to wander round, no standing still.
