The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) and Republic of Botswana President, Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi accompanied by His Honour, the Vice President and Party Chairman, Mr. Slumber Tsogwane this morning paid a courtesy call on Dr. Gaositwe Keagakwa Tibe Chiepe at her residence in Gaborone.
Also present this morning were the BDP Deputy Secretary General, MP for Kanye South, and current Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr. Lemogang Kwape as well as Mr. Thomas Kagiso Mmusi, MP for Gabane-Mmankgodi Constituency who is also Minister of Defence, Justice and Security.
In his remarks, President Dr. Masisi said it is therefore important for the government and the BDP to pay homage and always remember those that contributed significantly towards the development of the party and the country.
President Masisi noted that Dr. Chiepe will be turning 100 years (celebrating her centenary birthday) on Thursday next week (October 20th), and as such it is important that the BDP and the country remember and recognise her significant and glaring contributions towards the development of Botswana.
