Missing a loved one is terrible..keep the good memories alive. You will heal from the wound. It leaves a scar but the pain fades with time. Keep living. Your husband would have wanted you to go on and be happy .
Thank you for the wonderful song. No matter what we say at any time doesn't erase my feelings past present and future. Im still ecstatic that you exist.🙋♀️❤
It was August of 1970, county fair time in Iowa. College started on Monday. Guess I wanted to spend time rippin and runnin at the fair rather than spend the Friday nite with my gal. I had been dodging her all day and evening. She walked up to me as I was standing with my buds, walked up close and handed me back my class ring. Pretty much told me to .....well you know. As she is a good christian, I won't repeat what she said or what she called me. She turned and walked away. We were so young. Well as the story goes, I didn't see her again for many months, we did reconnect and have been married 41 years. The first time we heard this song we were leaving the store after buying this cd. Popped it into the player in our pickup. When this song was mostly over she slid across the seat closer to me and gave me one in the ribs. I don't think she noticed the tear in my eye. God, I love that woman. Funny how songs will bring memories to life. Not quite the same story as the song but close enough.
thanks for all the feedback!! ^^, so happy to know there's still leanne womack's fan alive out there..yeah,will do painless when i have time soon..so hang on there folks!!haha
I broke up with my girlfriend round a month ago, and its now 10 at night when she told me to come listen to this song. Kinda hits a little to close to home
This song reminds me of my husband .If had know that I would never see him again, I never got to talk to him because he got in a car crash and passed away. I would of never told him the things I did..A week before he passed away I told him I wanted a divorce.
Powerful song...so true. I miss my husband every day...if I'd known it was the last time. Regrets are painful.
