X seems to do really well when paired with Zero. As it should be.
Imma be honest with you. I hate MVCI for a lot of things, but that title "Best of X" makes me feel really really good as a long time fan of the Maverick Hunter
God if only infinite looked better and had a better roster... if that were the case then we might have had the best marvel game ever...
But still, seeing X, Zero, AND Sigma in a fighting game? It’s all a mega man fan could ask for.

The roster is lacking and the graphics look ugly, but it really is a very fun game to play
Its not a graphics problem, its an artsyle problem. Game is still fun tho
Skruby I like to look at it this way: decades and decades from now, nearly every game that's out right now will look outdated. SFV, DBFZ, Tekken, MvC3, MvCI, you name it. So by then, it won't be the graphics that we judge a game on, it'll be whether or not the gameplay stands the test of time. Not to say that those game have bad gameplay, because they don't, but what I mean is that graphics won't always matter, but the gameplay will.
the graphics are really good though... but... not all characters are suitable for it, y'know. artstyle went downhill...
Vin / Cybertudo The Marvel Characters look fine but the Capcom characters look like shit. The only Capcom character that looks good Imo is X, Zero, & Nemesis; but He’s supposed to look like Shit so that’s a backhanded compliment
Many people don't care about graphics in fighting game (good example KOF 14), they don't like how it game works, network, combo potential, balance. I think new fighting games have some good ideas, but they unfinished (SFV, DBFZ, BBctb) i feel creators need more time and they need to forget about DLC Character packs, it's good if game have already many characters, but then you have only 16 characters from the start meh....
X is always my main.
If only X had the following. I would destroy people with him.
1 Mobile charge shot like Zero's moveset.
2 Chargable special weapons during Armor utilizing mobile charge shot. Unlike Zero's which does extentions... X's arn't extensions but rather complete alternate powerful versions for zone controlling and various effects.
3 4 More special weapons preferably 3 New ones in air and 1 New Uppercut (Wing Spiral) on ground. Others prefered are Lightning Web (stuns like Spider Man's web ball), Gravity Well and Homing missile in air.
4 Full screen Level 3 Nova Strike connect like Nova's high speed Level 3.
Kinda surprised x doesn't have mobile charge shots considering zero can't even fire his buster while moving in the x series.
Charged Guard Shell would be an awesome install super.
It would be kinda niche though.... I mean just repel projectiles... basically useless against all characters using melee attacks. And if you give it invincibility.... that would make it broken.
Super Shadonic I said charged Guard Shell. You know, the one that works as a secondary attack?

This game may have two blaring issues in the sense of the lack of characters and the wonky art style, but this games gameplay is fucking phenomenal. You can complain about its many faults but the gameplay itself is amazing. Fixing many issues of 3 like the over reliance on assists, X factor being broken, and the massive chip damage. This game is a lot more back and forth where 3 tends to just flow with whoever gets to tod the other first without dropping the combo. Most characters die in a single combo or two after being opened up by an assist. If this game got the love it deserved I think it’d be the best, but it’s minuscule roster makes it lack in the biggest category a crossover fighting game should be focusing on.
The game is really fun sure it has its flaws but is still a solid game and I’m playing it

After playing BB Cross Tag and DBZ Fighterz I can say MvCI plays far better than both and better balanced.
Looking back, this game was really fun to play! When i’m forced to block for 30 seconds in DBFZ with sub par defensive mechanics, that gets old... Gameplay is definitely better in MVCI. But unfortunately it’s lack luster visuals really hold it back...

It's really sad when the main gameplay team nail everything but everyone else did only okay for one reason or another.

True he has alot of Weapons and Armors he got from him game that can be a Potential move for his Movesets and all X is got is few weapons like Rising Burn, Frost Shield and Etc
I give it two more years tops before people come flooding back to this and it becomes a “cult classic”, with the same people that shunned it when it came out suddenly praising it instead.

no ones going to love this abomination, greedy sales tactics, gimmicky gameplay, even with a robust and open tag system you cant tell whose behind the character aka low player expression, (specialty of combo fiend games) multiplayer is the only viable way to play the game. This game will never be loved

X was too high up. If he had just used a lvl 1 super, he would've won. Some people just shouldn't style on others.

Something Something pretty sure you can find it at gamestop for $20 or $30 nowadays. It's definitely not full price anymore

Yeah, now it is, but I was referring to when the game came out.
Something Something ah. I bought the game and the character pass when it came out hoping the game would gain some traction. Unfortunately it didn't but I still have fun playing every now and then. I go back and forth between this and umvc3

I had fun too back then, but both those games could have been so much better...
There literally is no hype for these game ls in these videos anymore. Back then the crowd was hyped for mvc 2& 3.
