Hey Stewart! We need a 2023 version of this! I am struggling. The new page roles isnt recognizing me (owner with full access) as an admin.. which is no longer an available role (as far as I know) but - I keep getting an error saying you have to be an admin to connect IG to FB! If you have a solution that would be amazing!
Is it possible to extend the video length from IG videos when I post them from the business suite in Facebook? Facebook tells me the vids are only allowed to be 1min long.

With the 1rst one it says already my FB page is connected to my Instagrama professional account...but I post stories and posts and they are not linked... With the 2nd the business tap does not shows me the option connect to FB. I looked for this option in the settings menu, but I cannot find it. Hey mate, Check your IG account and see what page is connected. You might have an old account connected. Also, ensure that you are the admin of your page and that your IG account has been converted into a business account.
Hi Stewart thank you I have a question tho I have 3 Facebook Pages and 3 IG Pages all pages are show to be linked together however when I make post to one of my FB pages to the linked IG page it goes to another IG Page which does not show the two to be connected. How can correct this? Thank you.

Hi Stewart, so the issue I keep running into is that I use my personal account to run all social for the nonprofit I work for and when I attempt to connect instagram either via the FB page or the business account on FB, it continually asks me to first log into my personal account which is what I am trying to bypass doing. Is there a way to go about this without having my personal account linked? Do I need to create a whole new FB account under the nonprofit and just grant that account access to the page so no one is connected?
Hey Danica, You will need to create a business manger and manage all the assets for that organisation (FB page IG account) within that business manager.

Another page I manage (but don't own) is. Any ideas? Since Meta has taken control I can no longer find settings for the page in the desktop FB app.
@@StewartGauld By mistake I move my page to the Business Manager account. I requested it be moved back but I can now only access the settings through the business manager.

When I go to login to my instagram page, it simply just logs my into instagram. It doesn't take me back to Meta. Although my account is connected now, it now says I have parital access and can only control ads and view insights. I can't post anything on my planner.

Hi Stewart. I'm unable to connect a page as it is saying 'The Facebook page youve tried to connect is already owned by another business. You can still request access to this page but it will need to be approved by the business that owns it'. I have highest admin access on the Facebook page so I am confused as to what this means?
Stewart, Trying to upload from Canva to IG...I try to share the item to IG through canva's share button...It brings me IG and has options for IG Post, IG Bus and others...I select IG Bus it says covert IG personal to IG Bus ( already did that) then says Link to FB page (went on FB and selected that) then it gives option to connect via FB, I select that...when I do that it says couldn't connect your acct, please try again???? Both my name and user names are identical when looking at the bus FB page and the bus IG acct???

I had followed the first method on connecting accounts and all worked fine with my first cross post but then a couple of days later I wound up seeing I was not connected to IG when I tried to post again and had to do the same steps all over again. Soon after same thing happened again. Any idea what is happening? I can't see having to link accounts repeatedly like this every time I try and post....I am doing it through the planner...would this somehow cause this to happen??

Hey Capo, Do you have a seperate business and personal account? If you used the same email to login you should be able to switch between accounts in the top left hand corner.
Hi Strewart. The thing is I try to connect my FB page to Instagram account (a professional one) but it is just partially connected, without the full features. When I try to do it via Instagram it says I don't hace admin rights, which I do have them. It's pretty confusing, how to proceed...

Hi Steward, I have three IG accounts under same logon I converted one to business account and want to connect this one to the Facebook business page that’s created but when I use the IG app method to connect it pops a error message saying there’s a problem. @@TheHomesteadQuest I think I had to delete the fb page I created ( good thing there wasn’t much on it) then reconnected the two it worked. Now I can share my IG posts to that new fb page

Hey mate, That is odd. Your account might be flagged. I suggest guiding them through creating their own page. Then they can add you as an admin. That way you can complete finishing off the page for them. All they need to do is click a few buttons to initially make their own page.

@@StewartGauld yeah I was having a weird issue where I connected mine through my FB business manager but it wasn’t working on Instagram still. My Instagram settings weren’t quite set up like your video showed for some reason but this video helped me realize my account was a creator account and not a business account and the second I switched it to business it finally connected! Is you IG account a business account? You must convert your IG account into a business account first.

That is odd. I would disconnect and then connect again.

I Have disconnected and reconnected still did not resolve the issue. all the accounts have different email too. I am so baffled by this.

Make sure you have a business IG account and FB business page. If you do try using a different browser.

Stewart, Trying to upload from Canva to IG...I try to share the item to IG through canva's share button...It brings me IG and has options for IG Post, IG Bus and others...I select IG Bus it says covert IG personal to IG Bus ( already did that) then says Link to FB page (went on FB and selected that) then it gives option to connect via FB, I select that...when I do that it says couldn't connect your acct, please try again???? Both my name and user names are identical when looking at the bus FB page and the bus IG acct???

Your instagram must be a business account. Then you can connect FB business page with IG business account.

I had followed the first method on connecting accounts and all worked fine with my first cross post but then a couple of days later I wound up seeing I was not connected to IG when I tried to post again and had to do the same steps all over again. Soon after same thing happened again. Any idea what is happening? I can't see having to link accounts repeatedly like this every time I try and post....I am doing it through the planner...would this somehow cause this to happen??

Hey you can only post from IG to Facebook. However, if you use the Facebook Business Suite you can publish posts on both platforms.

Do you have a seperate business and personal account? If you used the same email to login you should be able to switch between accounts in the top left hand corner.

Hi Steward, I have three IG accounts under same logon I converted one to business account and want to connect this one to the Facebook business page that’s created but when I use the IG app method to connect it pops a error message saying there’s a problem. If I do the Facebook page method when it ask me to log on to IG it only direct to my personal IG account not the business one. Is there a way to fix this problem?

That is odd. Your account might be flagged. I suggest guiding them through creating their own page. Then they can add you as an admin. That way you can complete finishing off the page for them. All they need to do is click a few buttons to initially make their own page.

@@StewartGauld yeah I was having a weird issue where I connected mine through my FB business manager but it wasn’t working on Instagram still. My Instagram settings weren’t quite set up like your video showed for some reason but this video helped me realize my account was a creator account and not a business account and the second I switched it to business it finally connected! So huge thank you!
