That girl has been singing professionally and making records for almost 40 years! And she's 52 today.

That was her first American television appearance after releasing her first english album "Unison" in 1990 , she was 22 years old then. But Celine started singing and making french albums in 1981 when she was only 12 and then she learned english in the late 80s .She was already a star in Canada and in France.

It was her first English album and first appearance on American TV. As she said 3 years earlier she couldn't speak any English. She's so talented she learned English in 3 months and then went into the world and thank God she did. 🙂
She was born with a talent like no other and of course had a coach as well who helped her to bring out the best. No one will sing like her anyway. Can’t training to sing like Celine .....🌹

Ok so Johnny Carson was ill (the presenter of the show at the time) so Jay Leno was guest hosting. He ended up taking over the show, Celine was invited back many many times. Yep, first performance. Song is Where Does My Heart Beat Now, she was 22 here. It was the vinyl of her album Unison Jay held up.

i had the priviledge to speak to her on live radio show the next day of this performence...the question i asked her was... Céline how do you feel to be singing when Phill Collins is right next to you...and she answered me..how old are you Martine? i said my age is 16 .so she said to me..you know Martine i'm not much older than you i'm 23 years old. so i was very impress to be right beside Phill Collins and he told me that my voice soud like cristal clear..and she asked me do you understand what that mean ..i said no..so she told me that it means her voice sonne comme du cristal..i was so exited..to have that little speak with her...

On this album they were trying to make her more bublegum pop vocally but that didnt work for long. The runs we are used to hearing from are abesnt from this song for the most part. Once American audiences found out she could "sang" they couldnt get enough of her!
