    I demoed this machine with 5 link suspension, awesome cab & visibility, servicabilty has definitely improved. Ground speed & hydraulics much slower when multi tasking, probably due to direct mount hydraulic pump, belt drive speeds up hydraulic pump on M series. I have 2. T595. Much faster . I plan to demo t66 also with clear view side windows, 74 hp smaller and lighter, hopefully I little quicker.. great video.

      Backyard Braapers t66 looks like a decent machine. But I don’t like the stability of it.. when I was in one it felt to tippy to me front to back.. just my opinion tho.. I’m looking for a lil more beefy machine for my firewood/landscaping :)

    My #T76 trial machine has been a nightmare. I loved the loader arm design and how smooth it rides but too many issues. The door will rattle after 100 hrs with no repair as the sticker metal is soft and wears quickly. The placement of the Hub controller and harness allows water entry. After months of electrical gremlins it will shut down completely. Bobcat is aware of this issue on all R Series and has a new design. Mine has been down 2 months waiting on these updated parts. Bobcat even has a troubleshooting tech bulletin for electrical problems on these machines. They haven't issued a recall yet. I've only found this out after seeing the bulletin first hand and knowing a Bobcat tech. 2 months no loaner, under warranty and no ETA on the updated parts.

    • @rockyroad5035
      @rockyroad5035 2 роки тому

      Do new machines now being produced have the new electrical design? Any idea when the production cutoff date was on the flawed design?

    • @wtomay7747
      @wtomay7747 2 роки тому

      @@rockyroad5035 New machines are still being produced with the old style harness. Lift the cab, it's only 2 bolts. The Hub controller is blue and about 4"x6". It's located on the back Left of the area under the cab. If it is sitting horizontal with the pin and connector harness parallel with the belly pan its the old design. It should be facing down with the harness coming up from the bottom like all other equipment. Since the connection sits horizontal instead of vertical , water seeps in to the connection when it rains and shorts out the machine. I finally just bought a new Hub controller for around $1,000 and had it installed after 90 days in the shop with no ETA on the updated harness. The machine is still under warranty until 6/22. I promptly dropped it off at an equipment auction the day I picked it up. I did leave the paperwork from the Bobcat dealer ( Miller Equipment) in the machine stating all repairs are complete and machine is in working order. It was not as it rained 2 days before auction. They called and stated the machine would not start day prior to auction. Dead battery from it turning lights and interior controls on and off as it was shorting out again. Blew water out of controller, charged battery and it started and sole the next day. It took 13 complaints, 6 calls once a week and a threat of attorney to be reimbursed by Bobcat corporate for the warranty part I purchased.

    • @rockyroad5035
      @rockyroad5035 2 роки тому

      @@wtomay7747 Excellent explanation - thank you! If I understand/envision correctly, the female portion of the hub controller should be facing down with the male plug connector facing up which then would not allow moisture to collect around the pins thus shorting things out. I haven't seen under a R series cab yet, but I wonder it there would be a way to seal that connection as a preventive maintenance attempt? Looking for my first CTL.... Which direction did you go after dumping your R?

    • @wtomay7747
      @wtomay7747 2 роки тому +1

      @@rockyroad5035 I wouldn't try to " fix" a design problem on the R Series. I have both Cat D3 and Deere G series. Under 75hp I'd look at Kubota svl75, Deere 325G or the CAT 259D2 D3 models. Cat, Deere, Kubota in that order or the one with the best dealer support. The E series Deere had electrical gremlins due to shiity wiring harness supplier. The T76 was replaced by a 325G Deere but I would of bought a 259 D3 if I could of found one. The Deere and Kubots resell value is better than most but the CAT will bring top dollar used.
      Kubota svl 2 or forward and the Bobcat 595 and 650 in the M series are good machines as well.

    Just curious on cab lifting? And see they are direct to hydraulic systems now and not sideways engine. Why did they change that up? And the coupler pins, heard you mention cast on whole arm...what happens when those pins wear the bosses? Can they cut those off and weld new bosses in, or do they have to replace whole cast front? I know cast once it’s wore that isn’t going to be good? No? Please keep us updated after some hours on this thing.

    I have been operating a new kobota skid steer for about a year now. It is one rough back breaker piece of shit compared to bobcat brand. It is very noisey so much so , I had to have special ear plugs made up to stop me from going deaf. Leaks dust into the cab from day one even though the brochure says it is has an air tight cab. Bobcat skid steers are way better.

      @Jay-df7kt 4 роки тому

      Charles Bourgeois that doesn’t make sense. A trailer with two 7000# axles can only have max GVWR 14000# with the weight of the trailer. Should be fine is why so many get into accidents because they are overloaded. There are stickers on each trailer stating what it can haul. It’s overloaded and unsafe. Error on the side of safety. Manufacturers who make the trailer know what it can legally haul and what it can’t. Just because you can doesn’t mean it’s right. I’ll stay safe making sure I have what I need to be safe. Get it? Safe is the word of the day. So stay safe.

    #1 The put the muffler closer to your head. Not good. #2 The wiper motor box is still in the way of your visibility. #3 I don't think I like where they put the oil filter. It looks accessible, but it's going to be a reach into the hot engine. #4 Where is the compressor and the starter, and alternator? It might be harder to swap out when the time comes. New designed back end reminds me a bit like a CASE. Is visibility out the back end reduced? #5, I cant say for sure but I doubt the front arm's are "Cast Iron" It would be too brittle. I think what you meant to say was perhaps engineered beam or formed beam. Cast iron is brittle, and takes a special process to weld it to steel. Super nice machine, but I still think the JCB Tele-skid is more innovative. What's the price tag on these new Bobcats?

      Bobcat still has a way better entryway than cat, thanks to how bobcat has the tilt cylinders placed. The cats I normally run are 299Ds.

    I heard and read to stay clear of the bobcat brand, they are rubbish, also view the andrew caramatta video's on them. JCB are a lot better brand
