Dan called this "His moment of insanity"😉 Absolutely astounding!❤❤ It took 274 takes to produce. I've never seen or heard anyone like Dan. Thankyou for your reaction😃
Dan is simply phenomenal. I can't even imagine how crazy it was to put every single part of this together so perfectly. Only Dan can do something absolutely extraordinary. Insane. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your wonderful response to this epic cover of 24 Dan. Dan is sometimes crazy with what he does. What a job it may have been to produce this song. Respect for his performance... Thank you for sharing
There are no words. Amazing performances by all 24 of Dan. Mad respect. Thanks for showcasing this one. He does something similar with Bohemian Rhapsody. It's another killer performance. Looking forward to the next one.
This particular piece has such special meaning to me and I just absolutely love that Dan performed this. My Dad is/was a recreational singer and sung in a Bach Choir. Anyhow, every Christmas season he would take me (as a kid and young teen) to the Pittsburgh Symphony’s Messiah audience singalong. He’s a Tenor and I can’t sing at all. But it is a favorite memory of mine because I would just stand next to him and watch/listen to him sing. I’m 53 now and still think about it; especially now since I saw Dan’s performance a long time ago. Thankfully I still have my dad at 87 and believe it or not, doesn’t act or seem like he’s a day older than 65. Hail VascNation ❤
Never enough of Dan!!! I agree that the work Dan contributed for this project was immense, and phenomenal. I am a college graduate with a minor in voice. Every time I have been blessed to sing Handel's Hallelujah Chorus I imagine the angels singing it to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. God bless all and wish you a wonderful life.
So cool! Thanks for sharing and good luck with your studies! One day we will all be worshipping God the Father for all believers! Gonna be a glorious time! 🙌🏻
I love that you chose to react to this EPIC MASTERPIECE of video and musical GENUIUS!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! Dan knows how to think outside of any box!!!! So, now what do you think of Dan’s RANGE?!?!!! Dan has an EPIC sense of humor and is immensely entertaining! God made Dan to shine, to soar, and to bring a musical and artistic renaissance to earth……the vocal beast is bringing beauty back to music…..HALLELUJAH!!! 👏🏼🔥🔥😁💥⚡️❤️🇧🇷💛
This is Classical Dan, singing this chorus from Handel's oratorio Messiah (written in 1741). It's in four parts - bass, tenor, alto, soprano - each part X 6. It's an extraordinary accomplishment in singing and editing. I can't imagine anyone else even attempting it. Thanks for reacting to it! It's one of my favorites on the classical side. Edited to add: Please consider playing Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen, on Caleb Hyles's channel :ua-cam.com/video/y7kBEGrLfjM/v-deo.htmlsi=O5wmN6Y7b3F5Wm8F Dan is one of four guys singing a version of this famous song, which HAS been performed a hundred different ways. It's terrific. Thanks!
Thank you for a very enjoyable reaction. Dan is so creative and hard working. It's wonderful to watch him doing what makes him (and us) very happy and achieving his goals.
Another funny moment like Dan looking at his watch. Second row from the top and 3rd from the right at about the 5:10 mark you will see Dan move his eyebrows one at a time them both messing with us, it is funny. Had fun with the cover. He so versatile with his range. Thanks for the reaction, and you can tell you are invested to joy of Dan. you can never have enough Dan.
He outdid himself for sure! Amazing in every way. Loved your reaction ! Loved his watch check, his boredom while waiting for the other Dan's to finsh their part so he could finally chime in again. Loved his raised eyebrows. One of the other reactors used to be a choir singer & director went plumb happy how with how well Dan sung this. (especially the strong & correct pronounciations that most choirs have a really hard time mastering). A true joy in every sense of the word! ❤
From what I understand, Dan recorded this well over 200 times! He has said that this was one of his hardest videos to make. The recording was one thing, then he had to mix it all and match all the vocals. He is absolutely amazing! Many thanks for reacting to this one. Another one to check out is his Bohemian Rhapsody. It is another one that Dan put an enormous amount of work into.
It’s so fun watching his facial expressions in every take! At least 24 takes (assuming every take was perfect) what a massive accomplishment!! Keep the Dan Vasc coming! It no longer matters what cover you do, because I can no longer pick a favorite!! Thanks and enjoy your day!! 🎶🫶
This has to be one of my favorite reactions EVER. I was cracking UP watching your facial expressions! Corey: “Dan is crazy”!😂 Crazy AND pure genius!! Who else would ever dream up something as amazing as this…. and then actually do it, flawlessly! This had to be SO much work. Cory: “Top Left Dan is looking at a watch that isn’t even there!”😂 My face hurts from laughing and smiling through your reaction. Whew. P.S. Congrats to you & Steven on your 15K milestone!!👏🥂🙌
Thanks for your reaction on this unbelievable masterpiece. 😄 I have a suggestion for you: Please check out Tommy Johansson ( if you haven't yet). He's a super talented metal singer from Sweden. His version of She's Gone is epic!
You have most of the alto Dans blocked. The top 2 rows on stage right are singing soprano, below them are the altos. Then on the other side are the basses and tenors. Great job!
More than 24 takes. In one of the podcasts I was watching from several years back, he stated that he generally records EVERY part at least four times. Others have mentioned that he's said three times for each, but I've only ever heard him say, "four." Either way...for every single "person" in this choir, Dan sang that particular part at LEAST three times, four times, or even more. At 4x per singer, that would be singing 96 parts worth of the song. Others have mentioned that he may have said he recorded about 120 parts for this song. One thing I know for sure, is that he said on the REEL that he posted October 24, 2023, "Seven years ago I did this insanity." 😀(That would have been when he had just turned 27 years old, since he turned 34 just 11 days before posting the reel.) There is (in my opinion) NEVER TOO MUCH of Dan. There is really NEVER ENOUGH! 😀 I used to be one of those singers in that upper left row, but I also learned every other part, in full. I started singing this song for Christmas concerts, when I was in grade school. Living in Old Valdez, Alaska, there weren't that many musicians and/or singers (at the time of the 1964 Alaska Earthquake, we only had a population of about 500, and w lost 32 of those people ... just ... instantaneously when the tsunami washed out the city dock. My mom (violinist, pianist, accordionist, ukelele player, and wonderful singer) was the leader of a small dance band, and those band members would also help out our single music teacher (who taught ALL the classes from Kindergarten through Seniors in High School). Anyone could join in the holiday choirs, and several friends and I did it every year, until we graduated. Because I learn parts easily, and because I had been doing it since I was five, by the time I finished high school, I was also taking over as the practice director for our high school choir, and I always "ran the parts" for this song, when new members would join, since I had sung every single one of them, many different times, as I was growing up. My range back then was just over six octaves. I just pulled up a keyboard up on my computer screen. It seems that Dan actually lowered the conventional key slightly, for his overall use here, but another thing that I just found out, is that I can actually now hit the conventional high note for the sopranos in the top left corner. I've been working on getting back up there, since 2017 when I had to have both hip joints replaced after being terribly crippled by rheumatoid arthritis that had robbed me of everything but my bass notes, for over 15 years! So...thank you VERY much for reacting to this song. I'm now rejoicing! I didn't think I could hit that note yet! Speaking of Hallelujah!!! As for Dan, and HIS highest notes, Steven already reacted to Dan's version of "Wuthering Heights." WHEW!!!
Hey,thanks for your information. For me,it doesn’t matter how many times he recorded it ( of course it’s very hard work), it’s simply brilliant and he himself is a genius. Thanks again for your extensive explanation. All the best 😊🎉🎉❤
Hallelujah! That’s awesome you’re getting your voice back where you want it to be! Whether it was 24 or 270 like some other comments have said it’s all crazy and just shows how dedicated he is when he puts his mind to something! Glad you enjoyed this one!
