That second guitar is absolutely stunning. My goodness. That maple top is to die for. Sounds great as well. I wouldn't be able to $1500 outta my pocket fast enough for that guitar. Incredible. Would love to hear a little Xotic B&B compressor going through that Vox with that guitar.
Wow! 1,000 to $1500 for a chambered body with exquisite tone wood cap AND boutique pick ups that actually match the build is incredible. I'm sure that Eric and his Cody guitars are going to be very busy, just off the orders from this video for a long time. They are on my list for a custom guitar, I'm just in a quandary over which wonderful piece I need to have. Once again John, you've brought us an excellent video for us guitar and music lovers.
When I was 18, I bought a Gretsch Country Gentleman. Loved it and prior to that, I had a Fender Jaguar. Didn't love that guitar!! I didn't know much about what to look for in sound, I was more interested in looks. George Harrison used a Country Gentleman and George Hebert got me interested in the Jaguar. He also didn't keep it long. He had a different guitar every time we saw him. Loved his guitar playing!!!! Cody guitars look and sound the way an electric should. Congratulations you've gone beyond what is good.
Very nice show casing a local builder JP , you never know the best things are rate here in our own back yard (NS) Great to see some of your Guitars Eric and JP make them shine ! Congrats and WOW !!
You get the overwhelming feeling that Mr.Cody has never REALLY heard his creations speak to him quite like this before.😊 J.P. is makin'em speak.🤣🤣🤣👍 Cody does builds a nice instrument by the looks and sound of it.
Amazing guitars . . . also heart vox amps, its my fav amp, stands out when most guitar players either use fender or marshall amps . . . I like ES shapes and teles . . . Also they have the bonus of being able to pull Gretsch tones . . dude that acoustic one . . . takes out fender acoustic sonic models. man . . . and the 9 string would be great for coping led zepplin ish stuff . . . nice! Dude the prices are better than Made in Mexico Fenders and Cody's quality goes beyond US Fender Custom. The woods on this would make private stock PRS owners flip out. WOW. ALso amazed about the 9 string and knowledge drop about nashville 12 string variants
I stopped playing acoustic years ago when my daughter commandeered my Ibanez AW-50 but recently when I tuned an Ashton dreadnaught for a lady I was bitten and went online and bought an Epiphone Hummingbird yesterday I went completely nuts and bought an Epiphone AJ-100CE for which I'm waiting. Still got my electrics.
Beautiful guitars Eric! I'd love to have any one of these for my collection, love the pine model. What is the neck profile, C shape? Anyway, bravo, I have a feeling you'll be hearing from me. Thanks for the review JP, awesome as always! 🎶🍻😊
That telecaster style one for $1075?....Wow that is amazing! I was a tele player and if I still played electric guitar I'd be all over that! Thanks for the outstanding video!
JP - You need to buy the Electric/Acoustic. It’s the Swiss Army Knife of guitars. Unbelievable! Finally got to see Jack the Dog - the world traveler. 🐶
your right monty that 1 is awesome ,have to look at some wiring diagrams a 3 way and 5 way do what!!! never thought of that ,has that piano sound very nice could play that for days like John said searching for specific sounds amazing concept
After I bought two mandolin banjos I came to the realization that they compose the worst of both instruments. That was twenty years ago. Currently I am playing a Gold Tone ukulele banjo that I made a fan fret finger board for, with a fourteen inch scale on the E string and a fifteen inch scale on the G string. I am using a .007" E string a sixteen thousanths A string a twenty thousanths nickle wound from an Ernie Ball guitar set along with a twenty six of those for the G string however any of the popular low G uke strings will work.It is not a mandolin banjo but it is a melody banjo.Average tension is nine pounds which makes it far easier than the mandolin banjo that has twenty five pounds as standard.
How can a builder say that it adds resonance when that is exactly what you try to achieve in an electric guitar ? No resonance. Every other movement than the strings means less sustain. Because moving the body takes energy from strings. So guitarded !

well now I gotta get one of these; this channel is KILLING ME! :)
that acoustic guitar sounded great, even thru the Vox, and I'm imagining would sound even better thru a Fishman, of course.
If I was still into electric guitars, I would have a Cody. These guitars are beyond what's out there!!

Man those guitars are unbelievable! I particularly liked the one with the redwood top and the tele-style one
Those first 2 are gorgeous. I'd like to hear some blues and rock played on them too.....
Nice guitars! Have played with Andrew Frelick a number of times when he got his Cody. Sounded great
