dave Hello , first thank you so much for your time and help.
I just mive to a house that have like your clear and blue or ligth blue panel,
    very light,
My question is HOW DO I KNOW BECAUSE IS POLYCARBONATE I BELIEVE IS IT OR PLASTIC
HOW DO I KNOW IS STRONG LIKE 5/8 PLYWOOD , OR METAL PANEL
,I do not see any numbers, and Very afraid in florida if a storm is coming.
for the house and especially my litlle girls.
please if you know anything or how to find out I will apreciate,
cause I have no I way to shoot a 2x4 to the panel, like they test it.
and is hard to believe so light will resist 150 miles 180 miles winds.
    thank you in advance

Dave, you make it look so easy. I have an issue with my application due to the window itself comes out about an inch from the window box. How much space between the window and Hurricane panel does there need to be?

I like at least an inch from panel to window. That way there's some room for it to flex if something big hits it. That's why I don't like the fabric or other panels that fit right up against the window. On yours, you can actually buy a header that has a build out and comes away from the window.
