- Johnny Depp's lawyer is cross-examining Amber Heard during the couple's defamation trial in Fairfax, Virginia. At the start of cross-examination, Depp's attorney has Heard talk about how Depp always wears rings, but yet she did not produce photos showing all the abuse she said she suffered. Depp's attorney then showed a number of photos from around the time of alleged abuse showing Heard had no injuries. Heard claims she is wearing makeup and that is covering the bruises.

There is absolutely no way she had 2 black eyes, a broken nose, and a split lip. No amount of makeup in the world would hide that, not to mention the swelling. And her facial movement and smiling would have been severely limited due to pain. Absolute lies.

Slight correction. Most lawyers will tell you to look at the jury when talking since they are the ones judging you. Short answers you can look at the lawyer but most of the time you should be talking to the jury

My mother was a licensed cosmetician and an incredible makeup artist and I've been doing makeup for almost 40 years and I'm very adept at covering up a multitude of sins and skin problems. I know what you can and cannot hide with makeup and I can say without ANY hesitation whatsoever that there is absolutely NO WAY that makeup could have her looking like that after sustaining the injuries she's claiming to have received the night before. I don't care how good the makeup artist is or what products they were using...it's simply NOT possible!!! If I were his attorney I would subpoena the makeup artist who did her makeup that night to rebutt her testimony. That person would certainly know what if any injuries she had at the time.
Myself as well. Pro MUA for 30 years. No makeup covers selling nor the substantial immutable she claims. It's over, the trial and yet she still cannot let go of this case and JD.
@@jillruben8924 I listened to the testimony of the MUA and knew she was lying. She actually gave herself away when she testified that she had experience creating bruises for the film and TV industry. It explained how the bruises that were photographed on her face got there but when she was trying to explain how she covered the supposed bruises for this TV appearance I was just shaking my head going nope...that wouldn't work, no, that wouldn't either.
This is probably the first time she's had someone publicly and directly dispute her story right to her never-beaten-up face

She also must keep the flow of her questions going is a smooth, pace but she cannot be so accusatory of the witness that it's off-putting to the jury. She gets an A+ for this. Vasquez is making (I believe purposely) insignificant errors *every 7-9 questions* that she promptly corrects, ex. she was tongue twisted saying "thirteen". This humanizes her BUT more importantly, it makes her appear like a "sweet, innocent young lawyer who is not a shark" when she actually is just that. These are top-tier psychological skills that less than .01% of trial attorneys are skilled enough to pull it off and very few are good enough to know about. She is not overbearing like AHs attorneys towards witnesses -- AHs attys came off as the real assh*les not the witnesses during cross. Vasquez is doing the exact opposite. She's coming off as though she is almost a juror asking the same questions they might ask each other during deliberations. There is a lot you likely don't realize that is much more than surface deep. Does Vasquez have great opportunities to place doubt on every word out of AHs mouth? Yes, any atty would, but there are very, very few this skilled. There's a reason she's sitting in the front with Ben Chew.

Lawyer is incredible, like you said, she asked it again but she actually set amber up by asking her to answer with a simple yes or no. Both answers are potentially dangerous for her, but its so dangerous precisely because amber knows its a made up story. The moment she says yes, she has to maintain the consistency of her statements throughout the entirety of the cross examination. At the same time, she cannot say no, because thats like her pleading guilty. Didn't give her chance to hot air any rhetorics.

As someone who survived a violent husband for 5 years I can tell you she is lying. The kind of abuse she describes can NOT be covered up with makeup. There would be swelling as well as bruising. Also, the way she talks to him on the tapes is not how a seriously abused women talks. You walk on egg shells terrified of saying anything that could result in violence. The last thing you would do is call him names and mock him let alone hit him.

I can’t believe this happens in this world man. The recent trial audio clips show Johnny wanting to leave so bad, and she wanted to hug him after she told the world he hit her all the time in the face. He said “you’ll never see me eyes again”. So intense.
I have fought against a similar women in a regular workplace. I was an assistant manager, she was the store manager. I luckily had clips of her doing something dodgy, which cleared my name, and got her in trouble instead of me.
There’s just a disrespectful, * not normal and uneasy * vibe and feeling I felt at the beginning. And I can feel this again watching the case. Prayers for Johnny. I hope he can get through this. It’s not even funny to ruin someone’s life. Inflated self importance is a BIG giveaway of red flag. And how you treat one another. @@jimbrap3582 Broken noses are no joke. The nasal bones would take about 6 weeks to heal. The nose would be red with all sorts of discolouration across the face, greatly swollen if not deformed. That would take at least a week to bring the face back into a reasonably normal state, wouldn't it? I know 2 guys who got in a fight in a bar and the attacker give them 1 single closed fist punch to each one. Both needed their lips stitched because it was an open crack, they've eaten only soup through a straw for weeks and their lips looked like they had an allergic reaction. That was from a single punch, there is no way Johnny hit her multiple times with a hand full with rings and she could still be recognised after that.

I’ve responded to people with facial injuries wether from assaults or crashes and accidents. As well as bruising or redness, there’s swelling, some people have trouble breathing which distorts their voice, some people get dizzy standing up, they can’t smile or laugh or turn their heads. It’s not just about covering discolouration, injury is often accompanied by other effects. She doesn’t seem to have any or talked about these.
I also think it's crazy that in one of the pictures she has her mouth closed, which means she's breathing through her nose, which shouldn't actually be possible after such a severe trauma and if so, then only with very severe symptoms
