It is cool, however Wes Anderson and Robert Yeoman shoot with deep depth of field. Kinda the opposite of what the Nightwalkers do.

You can shoot that way with the night walker lenses as well. 🎉 more of a stylistic choice but yes W. Anderson films do show more of the beautiful set dressing than many of the popular youtube content makers like to shoot these days. It is the way the lenses are being marketed to people used to photo lenses in the clinical race to f/0.1 that influences the trend of obliterating context in the content they create.

Not really sure why... but not really on point.... the look is quite off... maybe too much detail in the background and foregrounds and colors are too mixed together.

The thing that's off is the shallow depth of field. Wes Anderson tends to have very deep depth of field. And yes, also no clear color scheme like you mentioned.
