Kashmir Great Lakes Trek is one of the most cherished trail for the people who loves trekking. It is called as the most beautiful trek in the world. It is one of the most attractive trekking destination to the trekkers for it's lush beauty and variation and it occupies top position in the bucket list of the trekkers.
Kashmir Great Lakes is a easy to moderate level trek which duration vary 5 to 6 days and the trek basically starts from Shitkadi near to the Sonmarg Valley.
Two of our members of the Xplorers did this tremendous trek last year and captured some of their memories in the form of celluloid. In this series, their experience of Kashmir Great Lakes will be shared and the way you can do it by yourself with planning and budget also will be described.
In this 1st Episode, Reaching Shitkadi, the basecamp of Kashmir Great Lakes Trek from Dhaka is shared. Their route is Dhaka (Kamlapur) - Azampur Station - Akhaura - Agartala - Kolkata - Delhi - Srinagar. The major transport was air and the duration is the shortest, 25 hours.
