Nothing but love for Civ.
As a kid from socal who never got to see them Dtsrt Today is one of my most treasured albums. Sincerely. Thank you Civ. One minute more was good too.
Civ,
Me and my friends ALL LOVED YOU !!!!!!
From back in the day, we all made the trip to see Gorilla Biscuits.
You will always be one of the BEST hardcore vocalists!!!!
Drew, you're doing this amazing trip! Time to add the one and the only Rick Ta Life - the mystery of NYHC. Next is Minus, then Jorge Marauder, then Anthony Killing Time, then Eddie Leeway ...
Great interview... awesome guy... growing up in the NYHC scene was the best times of my life.
Can't wait one minute more
" Bring something to the table, dont be a caboose, Be an Engine. Be a catalyst and youll have a great Life.
I fucking love that!

GREAT MESSAGE to the youth!!! thanks for those words....greets from austria
He's my favorite hardcore dude.
+Pawel Zawislak Agreed. He doesn't have that egomaniac sickness some of them get (or expose) with time.
+Max Czapski Harley Flanagan
This is actually a good hardcore band 🤘
Civ tattooed me
Me to
He is so chil and nice, In every interview with him that i've watched he was so passionate and cool..
I used to work with civ at his tattoo shop back int the early 90s and he’s just as cool as everyone says he is…;)
Love his responses. I think his are the best of all of the series. Maybe along with John Porcell's.
Awesome interview
Seen civ in the 90s in Manchester in the UK...I was onstage and civ gave me the Mic.. lol...the days when I could stagedive.. civ are a great band...top stuff...I came back from that gig with a bootprint bruise on my back..haaaaa..
This totally fucking rocks!
Excellent
Biscuits were the best Hardcore band EVER. No comparison. I saw them at the old Ritz in NYC and I was blown away. It was my first Punk/HC show, from then on I was a punk.
during his message to the youth, a fire started on a pile of clothes behind me
Did you put it put yet
@@mjrleaguesweetie i put it put yes
Like all of you reading this, I love the Biscuits. I want to say though they I also dig Civ. I know lots of GB fans did not dig Civ, but they’re a pretty fun band. Give’em another listen.
On a separate note, Civ always has seemed like a cool dude.
Civ such a legend
"reverse stage diving"
Speaking of Life's Blood, will we see anyone from that camp of NYHC?
Wow one of my first tapes was Lifes Blood demo and on side B was SOIA and Uppercut demos..damn I wish I still had that tape
Great! Get Jimmy Marino next!!
What were they banned from cb's for? For several summers? They were only together several summers
Riley Gale next !!
Message to the youth?!?!
Graduate From High School
Never quit something you've started
Work a full-time job
Treat others better than yourself
Do Not have kids out of wedlock
Come on Civ...
Well dudes not wrong, too many of these famous or well known people always tell kids to follow your dreams but never tell them to have a backup plan in case the dreams don’t go as planned :like going to college, or getting a trade or working a decent full time job. I think in terms of the wedlock thing a majority of people that had kids out of wedlock the kids ended up have not so great Ives. Yes there were kids born in wedlock who’s lives weren’t so great but I really feel like he meant to only have kids if you’re in a loving, commited and stable relationship. But personally I think CIV have some solid advice.
And brush after every meal.
Is that a cobra in back of homie
I was 2 in 86
I need TAT BY HIM OF THE NYHS BACK OF MY HEAD IN WRITING
what's a squat?
A rundown abandoned building
occupied abandoned building
A crap abandoned building we lived in on 9th and C .It sucked. It was fun tho.
It's a type of exercise.
@@user-sw4qd2up2s fucking epic response
I guess I'm the only person who doesn't like the cromags
Rutherford Walters most kids these days that are into hardcore never heard cro mags, heard of them, but never listened to their music..i never can understand that
Kenny Curran I've heard of them seen them listened to them just never really liked them.
yep
It’s cool, it’s just not your thing. Like me I came of age around the time of “nu metal” and I remember being 15 and people just going on and on about white pony by the deftones. Never got it and never will, I’ve listened to it, and recently gave it a try 20 years later…. And it’s still not my thing.
No, you're not.
Such a nerd. But great interview. He definitely was there and he definitely "gets it"
P.s. Armand , great dude..highly over rated tho
